Nursing Students NP Students

Published

Hello everyone, I have been invited for interview for the BSN to DNP program at UT Memphis for fall 2014. Just wanted to reach out to anyone else that will attend the interview. I think it will be nice for us to help and support each other through the process. Let us connect. Anyone that have attended or is attending the program, please share your experiences. Thank you.

Now to complete this check list...

Anyone have a fax number for the Enrollment Commitment Form? It said we can fax or email it, but the only thing on it is a mailing address. I suppose I could wait until Monday and call, but I figured I'd check on here.

Thanks in advance!

Okay. Thank you. Has anyone received any mail from the school?

This may be a little premature but someone asked me... Does the school set us up with preceptors if we live in the memphis area? I know distance students have to find their own

Not premature at all. I was thinking about the same thing. I will like to know too, but there is a rumor that we have to find our preceptors after being assigned a clinical site.

I have a few friends that are a year ahead of us in the dual fnp/AG-acnp program and they will set you up with a preceptor if you live in Memphis area. You do not have to find your own as far as I know.

This is under the FAQ tab of their acnp and fnp program.

How do I find a clinical site?

The faculty has an extensive list of highly qualified preceptors and will place most students in clinical experiences that offer opportunities to meet the course outcomes. Students who live outside of the Memphis area will work with the clinical course faculty to identify appropriate clinical sites. Relatives may not serve as preceptors for students. Clinical contracts are complex and time consuming so; it is important to start this process ASAP.
