Hello everyone, I have been invited for interview for the BSN to DNP program at UT Memphis for fall 2014. Just wanted to reach out to anyone else that will attend the interview. I think it will be nice for us to help and support each other through the process. Let us connect. Anyone that have attended or is attending the program, please share your experiences. Thank you.

What else have your friends said about the program?

What questions do you have? Feel free to PM me and I can answer some specifics. I went to UTHSC for my MSN-CNL so I was very familiar with the program prior to applying.

chase7826,

If you're willing to post here, I think many of us would appreciate it--that way you don't get bogged down answering the same question from several different folks :)

Being in northeast TN, I'd love to hear more details regarding how the on-campus weeks work. And for those of us who aren't in the Memphis area, what kind of options exist for housing (completely on our own, or recommended locations, etc.) during those weeks?

Hey Cardd7669! Sorry for the late reply. I asked one of the current first year students how the on campus weeks work. She said that our first on campus week will be filled with different meetings and skills lab such as learning to suture, place lines, etc. The next on campus meetings like in december and then end of spring semester they will have us checked off on skills like those skills mentioned earlier and on clinical examination skills. Some classes may also have finals during on campus weeks. As far as housing I'm not 100% as everyone I know in the program lives in the Memphis area, but there are multiple hotels within a mile or so of campus. Or possibly find a buddy in the program that lives in memphis and stay with them to save a few hundred bucks. Housing is not provided by the program as far as I know.

Anyone interested on starting a group on fb or anything?

A Facebook group seems like a good starting point, at least until we get some official program logins.

Sounds like a good idea. Do you want to start the group or should I? How are we going to find eachother?

Has anyone received an email on how to pay the GED? 4/30/14 (this Wednesday) is supposed to be the last day for the payment.
