  1. Thank you all for the advice and responses! I am still looking for adult ER or MedSurg positions, but am not as stressed about it anymore.
  2. Thank you newFNP2015! This makes me feel so much better. I was so worried and like you I have been applying to adult ER but no response yet. If you do not mind me asking, what part of the country are you in? I am in TN. I wonder if location will make any difference.
  3. Hi everyone! I am a pediatric CVICU nurse and I just finished my first year in FNP school. I have been a nurse for over two years now and the majority of my experience has been in peds CV. I am worried that it will affect my chances of getting a job as an FNP if I do not get an adult experience before I graduate. Am I right to be worried about this? Do I have to change jobs before I graduate? I am hoping to work in a family clinic upon graduation. PS: I have about 4 months experience as a home health nurse PRN and about 5 months experience as a correctional nurse PRN.
  4. Thanks! I hear that the rural areas make more, so you are starting with 80, does that mean that we should expect less in the city. Any real difference?
  5. I am a first year NP student and I and a few of my colleagues have been wondering about the NP salary in the area. The surveys are not specific enough and I am well aware that the numbers vary by specialty. I would like to know; 1) Salary (hourly, monthly or annually) 2) NP specialty 3) Years of experience 4) Type of experience (primary care or acute care) 5) Anything else you may want to add to help us out. Thank you.
  6. I think you forgot to mention the area you are looking for school. That will be a very important factor when choosing a school.
  7. The emails were sent out today. I sent a PM to you.
  8. I just did the same thing and you are right, we still have until Wednesday. Thanks
  9. Has anyone received an email on how to pay the GED? 4/30/14 (this Wednesday) is supposed to be the last day for the payment.
  10. This is our group on fb. facebook.com/groups/662534820449145/
  11. Sounds like a good idea. Do you want to start the group or should I? How are we going to find eachother?
  12. Not premature at all. I was thinking about the same thing. I will like to know too, but there is a rumor that we have to find our preceptors after being assigned a clinical site.
  13. Okay. Thank you. Has anyone received any mail from the school?
  14. Let us know when you get the right number, please.
