Hello friends!

I'm creating this as a communication board for new students/applicants to talk on about:

  • Current GPA -- science & overall
  • Requirements needed to apply
  • HESI test requirements
  • Applications -- status or general info
  • Acceptance!

A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)

I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!

Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

Well I look forward to meeting all of you!!!! Good luck!!!! :inlove:

Has anyone received acceptance emails or has it just been through my uth?

I have yet to receive an email... learned the information through the portal!

I have a feeling the students with the highest stats are going to be accepted first. Something tells me I won't find out one way or another until next week. Really hoping I don't get waitlisted because I don't have time to wait!

Congrats to everyone who has gotten accepted so far!

Still showing incomplete on my end

Still a green circle for me. In the Spring when I applied for this Fall I remember there were waves of emails going out for acceptances for like 3 days. Then that Friday they sent out the rejections. Just saying this because I'm hoping we have a few days of acceptances to look forward to!! Congrats to all that have been accepted and good luck to the rest of us still anxiously waiting!

I don't think you'll find an X there because rejections aren't being sent out yet. It'll either have a green check or there should be no change at all.

i don't really know how it works lol, but I can't handle a heartbreak at work.. but I wish for a big fat green checkmark!!

Thanks for this info. Gives me hope. I'll seriously be so disappointed if I don't get accepted.

@AHawkins I think you have a really good chance, I'm pretty sure I recall thinking you had really good stats when I read them way back on here! Positive thoughts!!!

Where are you going to school

How many people do they accept a semester cycle?

How many people do they accept a semester cycle?

I was wondering the same. I wasn't able to find any info on this.

How many people do they accept a semester cycle?

From what I've heard, it's around 120.
