Hey everyone, sorry if this topic already exists I just can't find it. Application deadline is here!! Thought I'd create a thread so we could share info as it comes in. Good luck to everyone!

Called the registrar this afternoon. It looks like we do need to register for classes tomorrow with the rest of the nursing students.

EValue is taking forever to clear my immunizations. Still am not able to register.

Dear New Graduate Student,

Welcome to The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Cizik School of Nursing for the 2019 Spring Semester! It is our goal to provide you with the best education possible, including excellent clinical experiences and challenges in the areas of research, learning and application of knowledge.

To begin your educational experience, students are required to attend New Graduate Student Orientation on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 from 8:00-4:00 p.m. (check in starts at 7:30 a.m.) at the Cizik School of Nursing Student Community Center-1st Floor Alkek Auditorium located at 6901 Bertner, Houston, Texas 77030. Please see the attachment for parking information.

How long shortly after you got the acceptance email did your statuses change on uthealth? I got interviewed last week but didn't get an email saying I'm accepted until Tuesday and i know there's a lot of stuff to do but my status still says under review

I think it took a little under a week for me. Make sure you have copies of your immunizations, a screen shot of your RN license that has the issue date as well as the expiration date, a scanned copy of your BLS card, and a social security release of consent form.

Other things to start working on as soon as you get access, drug screen and background check. All requirements are found here.

The ones listed above are for the eValue system, and I highly recommend getting started on that as soon as you gain access because it takes forever for them to clear the documents that you upload. All I had left was a current tB test and the documentation for it has been sitting at "needs to be verified" for a week now. Super frustrating.

Oh man! Yes sounds frustrating! I had originally got accepted into the TWU fnp program and had everything almost done for registration from them but i finally heard back from UTHealth. And twu's System i can say is fast! So this is a little frustrating. And to top it off since I'm a December baby, my Tb and Rn license expires in December

I'm also waiting on evalue to verify my vaccines, question though.

- One of my holds in applyUTH is 'identity management hold' it says my ID has to be verified during orientation but orientation isn't until January so how am I supposed to register for classes if I have to wait until Jan 9 to have my ID hold lifted?

Have you tried registering for classes with it? There is an alternate way. I won't be able to make the orientation so I'm filling out this form and this form and getting it notarized and sending it in instead.

Unfortunately it does not have that hold on my holds list, only my immunization hold from eValue is left.

I was just accepted last Tuesday and yesterday got the email from student affairs along with accepting after my status change! How long did it take for yall to get information so that yall can start entering things in evalue? I have everything already but it says it may take a couple of days for me to get my evalue log in. Is that right? Is that anything else I can start on besides of the background check and drug screen?

i just got an email last week and my interview is This week ... 3 different dates.

did they give you a specific time for you guys to go ?? Or you just showed up during the times given ???

also, I'm a little concerned ... idk why I'm just getting an invitation to interview ... I wonder how they select the candidates to interview first ...

It did take a couple of days to get the email that allowed me to create my account. Nothing else you can really do besides start your background check and drug screen. Just make sure you have records for all the immunizations that they require. Congrats!

You reply to the email requesting one of the time frames offered and they send you a return email stating the exact time you should show up. They probably had some people that got accepted decline admission so they are filling their seats. That's how I got into my BSN with them.
