  1. PRAISE THE LORD MY EVALUE HOLD IS DONE. Found out what we needed to do! Email (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) (email is on the home page once you log in) and ask him to clear your hold. Send your student ID with the email. He approved my immunizations and lifted the hold within 30 mins of me sending the email! I'm officially registered in classes!
  2. Forever!! I've had my TB test sitting, waiting verification for 3 weeks now! I just want to register and get everything done so I don't have to worry about it.
  3. It did take a couple of days to get the email that allowed me to create my account. Nothing else you can really do besides start your background check and drug screen. Just make sure you have records for all the immunizations that they require. Congrats! You reply to the email requesting one of the time frames offered and they send you a return email stating the exact time you should show up. They probably had some people that got accepted decline admission so they are filling their seats. That's how I got into my BSN with them.
  4. Have you tried registering for classes with it? There is an alternate way. I won't be able to make the orientation so I'm filling out this form and this form and getting it notarized and sending it in instead. Unfortunately it does not have that hold on my holds list, only my immunization hold from eValue is left.
  5. I think it took a little under a week for me. Make sure you have copies of your immunizations, a screen shot of your RN license that has the issue date as well as the expiration date, a scanned copy of your BLS card, and a social security release of consent form. Required Immunizations Social Security Release Form Other things to start working on as soon as you get access, drug screen and background check. All requirements are found here. The ones listed above are for the eValue system, and I highly recommend getting started on that as soon as you gain access because it takes forever for them to clear the documents that you upload. All I had left was a current tB test and the documentation for it has been sitting at "needs to be verified" for a week now. Super frustrating.
  6. EValue is taking forever to clear my immunizations. Still am not able to register. I received this email Dear New Graduate Student, Welcome to The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Cizik School of Nursing for the 2019 Spring Semester! It is our goal to provide you with the best education possible, including excellent clinical experiences and challenges in the areas of research, learning and application of knowledge. To begin your educational experience, students are required to attend New Graduate Student Orientation on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 from 8:00-4:00 p.m. (check in starts at 7:30 a.m.) at the Cizik School of Nursing Student Community Center-1st Floor Alkek Auditorium located at 6901 Bertner, Houston, Texas 77030. Please see the attachment for parking information. Please RSVP to Dr. Olivia Fitch at [email protected] to reserve your space. Kind regards, Student Affairs Team
  7. I've got two coworkers that are in program and they are going to let me borrow their patho books. Both said to get started early!! I'm going to be focusing on patho this next month and once one of them is done with pharm I'm going to be focusing on pharm after. I'll let you know which book they are using! Right now I'm trying to clear my immunization holds and I'm waiting for my background check to go through. I'm guessing you pay for the drug test and then they randomly tell you when and where to go for the drug test? Also got an email for a mandatory orientation but I'll be out of the country when it happens!! I'd like to keep in contact with you so I can stay up to date
  8. Just to let everyone know the status on my apply.uth.tmc changed today to reflect that I've been accepted. After accepting admission, it brings me to a page that requires a $200 deposit to secure my seat.
  9. I was at that exact time but they were running a little late so I interviewed more at 1345. People were lined up in time blocks for the interview and were given about 15 mins for the interview. It's hard to say how many people there were since you only just showed up for your 15 min block. I think that with the FNP program it's required that you have an interview to be accepted. They mostly just make sure you're entering the program for the right reasons with the interview. There wasn't much knowledge based questioning
  10. Oh I probably saw you then! I interviewed about the same time.
  11. Just got an email saying I was accepted! apply.uth still says my application is under review though.
  12. I applied right at the deadline. I think select people get an interview but I'm not completely sure. I saw on other threads that interview invitations came at different times so just because someone may not have gotten one yet doesn't mean they won't at all.
  13. Just got my invitation by email! Just for background I got my BSN from UTHealth Science Center, and I have four years of Labor & Delivery experience. I'm not quite sure how many seats are offered. I know when I went to the information session a while back they gave a rough estimate of class size but I can't quite remember.
  14. It looks like from the previous year that people started hearing back in November, but it was later than the year previous because of Hurricane Harvey
  15. Hey everyone, sorry if this topic already exists I just can't find it. Application deadline is here!! Thought I'd create a thread so we could share info as it comes in. Good luck to everyone!
