Congrats guys, I still haven't heard back but I also applied after the deadline. How many people did you guys see at the interviews? I'm still trying to figure out whether or not every accepted applicant receives an interview. Is anyone accepted without an interview?

Did you?? What time was your interview? I was the pregnant one wearing a black dress xD
I was at that exact time but they were running a little late so I interviewed more at 1345.
People were lined up in time blocks for the interview and were given about 15 mins for the interview. It's hard to say how many people there were since you only just showed up for your 15 min block. I think that with the FNP program it's required that you have an interview to be accepted. They mostly just make sure you're entering the program for the right reasons with the interview. There wasn't much knowledge based questioning

Thank you!
How far past the deadline did you submit your app?
Well when I got to the waiting area, there were two other applicants with me while another was being interviewed before it was my turn. When I finished there were about 3 or 4 applicants total waiting for their turn.
Like what mnblack stated, the interview times were in intervals of 15 mins.
I also second that I doubt any applicant would get accepted without going through the interview process. During the information session, the professors emphasized the interview portion of the application process before being admitted. They also explained it is important for them to get to know the applicant's intentions of applying and if again, if they're for the right reasons.
The interview itself is how you make of it really. I didn't prepare beforehand because I doubt they'd ask me any nursing-based questions rather questions about myself, goals, purpose of applying. I also researched other topics on all nurses related to prior cohorts of this program to get a better idea. Post research, it just sounded like they wanted to get to know me as an individual.
Aside from that, take control of the room and show them you want to be there. Personally, I had a lot of fun speaking to them. I treated them like people I've known for quite some time and was comfortable throughout our meeting! I threw out some jokes here and there at appropriate times and were happy to receive a joyous laughter from them. Speaking to people and socializing is natural for me though, I like to talk (ironically, I have public speaking fears when it comes to large crowds though lol), but do what you can to make yourself stand out while being yourself a
Good luck :)
Yea it sounds like an interview is required then, to answer your question I applied about a month after the deadline.
Just to let everyone know the status on my apply.uth.tmc changed today to reflect that I've been accepted. After accepting admission, it brings me to a page that requires a $200 deposit to secure my seat.
Congrats to everyone that got accepted!
Did anyone interview and not get accepted?
What kind of questions did they ask? Any unusual questions?
I had log in errors that took 3 days to resolve before I could also accept my admission and pay the $200 non-refundable deposit. It was quite frustrating going back and forth with student affairs, registrar and IT with each one saying they don't have the control to change anything x_x
Just an FYI: If other students has "admission holds" like outstanding letters of recommendation, per student affairs it should not deter the student from accepting admission, it will however, prevent them from registering for classes until it's completed. Student affairs noted that I wasn't the only one experiencing this, but the first to not have a username & password when a student ID was already given to me.
For odd reasons, some IT people working at the help desk we'rent aware of this, so a username and password was not created for me. In return, I was confused as heck as to why I couldn't sign in and why the computer error kept saying "username/password invalid", or why IT said I don't exist in their system!!
Anyway, the problem was resolved yesterday by a more knowledgeable IT individual and I was able to do the same as mnblack :)
By chance, has anyone began reviewing for the upcoming program? Are you guys mainly focusing on pathophysiology and pharmacology? Thanks!!
I've got two coworkers that are in program and they are going to let me borrow their patho books. Both said to get started early!! I'm going to be focusing on patho this next month and once one of them is done with pharm I'm going to be focusing on pharm after.
I'll let you know which book they are using!
Right now I'm trying to clear my immunization holds and I'm waiting for my background check to go through. I'm guessing you pay for the drug test and then they randomly tell you when and where to go for the drug test?
Also got an email for a mandatory orientation but I'll be out of the country when it happens!! I'd like to keep in contact with you so I can stay up to date

Are we supposed to be signing up/ registering for classes soon? Finished all of the items to go to school (drug test, background check, etc.), and now just playing the waiting game until January...
When is orientation? I haven't received any info on that yet
Couple more questions
1. I haven't received any info about the drug screen or background check, how do I do those?
2. Do we or do we not need Hep C screening? Conflicting info on the site.
Disregard my last post, figured all that out, still not sure when orientation is though.
