UTHealth Houston FNP Spring 2019

Hey everyone, sorry if this topic already exists I just can't find it. Application deadline is here!! Thought I'd create a thread so we could share info as it comes in. Good luck to everyone!

I received my invitation to interview via email as well!!!!

But personal circumstances just just recently happened to me and I am stuck with a decision as I may need to fly back home to Hawaii :(

from what i recall they accept no more than 100, but the FNP program has about 400 total applicants each semester. This is a rough memory, do not quote me!

Good of luck to everyone who received the invitations!!! if I am unable to interview, then I hope you all wow them and get accepted!!!

I have 1 year ER experience at a level 1 trauma hospital, 3 month's cosmetic nurse experience (not my cup of tea like I thought t would be, i much prefer direct patient care). BSN with honors from university of Hawaii at hilo. didn't need to take the entrance exam because of my GPA. I am a member of ENA.

Do they give everyone that applied an interview? And when did you all apply?

I applied right at the deadline. I think select people get an interview but I'm not completely sure. I saw on other threads that interview invitations came at different times so just because someone may not have gotten one yet doesn't mean they won't at all.

I applied for Adult Gero NP so maybe there were not as many candidates as for the FNP program. I received a phone call for the interview followed by an email from the lady who called just with info of directions, room no. etc. I also applied a week after the deadline. I'm sure y'all will hear something soon. My interview is this Friday...

Are you talking about the Summer 2019 Acute care?

I applied at around 10 am on 08/14, just the day before applications were due.

From previous cohorts, recipients are invited at varying dates, so still be confident enough believing that you also have what they are looking for.

I haven't stopped imagining myself receiving that invitation and am excited for the white coat ceremony (if our program does have one) and I think about it subconsciously everyday lol. Law of attraction and self-assurance. I look forward to hearing your good news soon as well!!

Just got an email saying I was accepted! apply.uth still says my application is under review though.

I got an email at about 11am saying that I was accepted, also. Congratulations! I interviewed on Monday for the FNP track.

WOO! I also received my acceptance letter via email at around 11 am today!

I interviewed on 10/03 at 1330 for the FNP track.

Congratulations you guyssssssssss, time to celebrate our victory! :)
