UTHealth Cizik Summer 2022 - BSN

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been looking around for a UTH - Pacesetter BSN forum for Summer 2022; haven't found one so I'm going to start one here! This forum is for anyone applying for or just curious about the Summer 2022 application cycle (deadline Jan 15th, 2021). If anyone has any questions, concerns, worries, or anything they'd like to share during the process then you've found the right place! We're here to help each other out. Best of luck!

I just submitted my application for Summer 2022 term!

Hi! I’m in the process of applying as well! Unfortunately I won’t make it for this cycle since I’m still working on my last pre-reqs through the Spring. Hoping to apply Fall 2022! But I’m going to jump in on this thread just to keep in the loop on the process!

I’m applying as too! I have a question if taking classes and the grades won’t be posted and allowed to be send as official transcript until after the January 15th deadline does that mean I won’t be able to apply?

You can still apply if it’s not the science courses. This is from their website.
“An application will be reviewed for admission if at least 48 prerequisite hours, including 16 hours from the science prerequisites (Human Anatomy and Physiology I or II, Microbiology, or Chemistry), have been completed. Changes effective Summer 2022.”

What other programs/schools is everyone applying to? The stats for UTH always make me nervous.

I’m applying to UTA AOBSN, TWU, and UH (if I don’t get acceptance to any of the first three since UH applications don’t open till aug 2022)

UTHealth definitely has me the most nervous ?

This school is so crazy!
Anybody notice that the deadline for fall 2022 in March?

Which means courses taken in Spring 2022 don't matter for Summer or fall admission. Since they won't see the grade and hence it won't be factored into GPA.

Maybe Im just noticing this. LOL!

Hi all!

I needed some advice on whether or not to take the HESI due to the update on their website about scoring. I made a 92 overall, but have a 84 on my vocabulary section and it says the new minimum is 85. ? Not sure if I should just submit another application or retake it.

It’s definitely up to you. Personally I think your OK but if it makes you feel better you can always retest. But if you’ve already taken it twice you can’t take it anymore atleast that’s what an advisor from UT health told me.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll just leave it as is and see where it takes me and decide from there. I was also thinking of retaking some classes as well if I don't get in this round!

Does anyone know how to submit CLEP scores for a required pre-req? I took the human growth and development CLEP exam a few years ago, which satisfies a Psyc credit I needed for my first degree, but I’m concerned that how it’s reflected on the transcript won’t match with UTs requirements. Does that make sense? Like do I need to resubmit the CLEP scores directly so that it satisfies the Human growth and development course that UT requires?
