UTHealth Houston FNP Fall 2021

Hey guys, I have not seen a thread for the Fall 2021 FNP program for UT Health Houston so I thought I would start one. I had my interview on May 5th. I still have not received an email regarding my admissions or anything, but I did follow up with someone a week after and she said I should be getting it soon so fingers crossed. Has anyone else heard anything or interviewed?

Hey I had my interview for the program on May 11th. I was told that the decision are sent after 2-3 wks. I don't like the waiting game. Based on previous threads here some recieved decisions within 7 days. 

Any idea how many they accept per cohort?

@PinasRN I do not know how many they accept. I can ask one of my coworkers who’s enrolled right now. My interview went well. I actually followed up with the person who emailed me about the interview and she told me it went well and I should be receiving something soon. I’m currently in DFW working.

Yeah, it says "conditionally admitted." What about yours?

I haven't receive mine yet. I'll email them next wk (2wks from the interview)

I had my interview May 5th as well so this week I’m expecting to hear back something hopefully. My application online says I am admitted, but wasn’t sure if that was a fluke or something. I’ve been getting emails now to submit my immunization records. One of my friends interviewed on the 11th and her application still says under review.

hey all, 

   I applied to the program prior to the priority deadline, but they told me they needed my BSN completed, which I just did this last week. So now I should be in consideration. DO you think I should call them next week, to follow up, or give them more time? 

I completed my BSN there and I know that for that program I had to call a couple of times to get everything situated.

@nsummer I also got the email for the immunizations as well. So hopefully we will hear back sometime this week.

Did you do the RN-BSN program? 

The process was not too bad for me. I did the priority deadline as well and heard back for an Interview beginning of April. I would reach out to someone at the student affairs office and see what the next process would be for you.

Yes, I did the RN-BSN program. 

I completed the program in the beginning of May. When I called the student affairs in March, they told me that my application would be reviewed most likely after I completed all of my courses and my degree conferred. All of that just completed for me a couple of weeks ago. So I have been calling and trying to get everything situated but it seems like until I call and ask nothing gets done.

I just received my acceptance email at 10:59 am. I'm super excited.

@Maria Mandhai I would try to reach out to one of the FNP program coordinators and see if they can expedite the process. If not, just keep calling them. I heard they are not that great when it comes to returning calls.
