  1. For lab, we got different days. So for my group we had to go to school 3x a week. The other group 4x a week because they had a different lab day. They did inform us all the rules/expectations from the beginning. So it’s up to each individual their experiences… professors are friendly and want to help us succeed.
  2. I hope there will be more acceptances like in the past with waves. Let’s keep each other updated so those that haven’t gotten an email yet can know. Congratulations on the ones that got accepted today!
  3. You can take the HESI with another school code, and then transfer transcript to UTHEALTH after.
  4. There is always a chance it’s good enough, but 84 in anatomy is kind of low for nursing programs. UTh recommends 85% or higher in all subjects. Nursing programs also prefer higher score for Anatomy on the HESI and the actual course.
  5. This is what they post on their website. “Applicants will be evaluated on overall academic, prerequisite and science course performance in addition to the results from the HESI A2 Entrance Exam. All decisions are final and cannot be appealed.” Based on previous semesters, admitted students kind of vary so no one knows exactly how they choose candidates. Some students have experience, others don’t. UTH also does not do essay or interviews. For Summer application, we will find out admitted status by April 15th (on their website). But that means mid-March/end of March, admitted students would get notified first. And then they will go through accept/denial offers, and continue to offer more acceptances. Then they will send out all denials. This timeline is based on previous semesters too.
  6. You can still apply if it’s not the science courses. This is from their website. “An application will be reviewed for admission if at least 48 prerequisite hours, including 16 hours from the science prerequisites (Human Anatomy and Physiology I or II, Microbiology, or Chemistry), have been completed. Changes effective Summer 2022.”
  7. I just submitted my application for Summer 2022 term!
  8. There were students that got accepted this term and did their prerequisites at HCC. So I don’t think that is something that they really look at.
  9. Wow I didn’t receive any email about that either. I wish they communicate better. If we are all applicants, don’t know why we don’t all receive the email.
  10. Hello, so I just got accepted into Lone Star CyFair ADN program for Spring 2022. I also applied to UTHealth accelerated BSN program for Spring 2022, and it looks like I will be denied. I’m stuck with whether I should accept my spot for ADN program and later bridge ADN-BSN or just reapply for UTHealth Summer 2022. I really want to finish school and get into the nursing field ASAP as I have been in school for a long time. I’m ready to start my career. I am concerned because I have heard a lot of hospitals are not hiring ADN nurses in Houston anymore, and some that are hired had good connections or prior experiences. So I’m really considering if I should just reapply for UTHealth Summer 2022. If I go the Lone Star ADN route, it would take me longer still to achieve my BSN end goal. I’m just not sure if I should gamble the ADN route with the possibility of not being able to find a job as a new graduate to build experience. I have even considered attending ADN program in the Spring, and then if I get accepted for BSN Summer program, to drop out of the ADN program and accept the BSN program as I would still finish faster. Was wanting to hear other students/nurses/recruiters’ views.
  11. Any one received any acceptances today? Or waitlist, anything?
  12. Hey! I can’t find any fb groups or GroupMe. But I got accepted into Lone Star CyFair Spring 2022 program. I have so many questions though.
  13. I haven’t been able to find any thread either. I got accepted into Lone Star CyFair Spring 2022 ADN program. But I have not been able to find any fb groups, thread, or GroupMe. I have so many questions.
  14. Only heard of acceptances yesterday. Haven’t heard any since. Not sure if there will be another wave of acceptances either. So far a lot of other applicants still have “application under review” in their portal if they didn’t get accepted already.
  15. based on the previous years, there should be another wave of acceptances...but of course its not certain as we do not know exactly their process. but there should be waitlist also, who may be accepted if someone declines their position
