UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

Hey everyone I'm new to this and just now reading this thread. Earlier today, before reading this thread I signed up for the TEAS testing at UTA, so since it was still an option will it still be waived? On the website it gave me the options and showed they were opening the testing center from April 6th till May 14..

Yep- still waived

I’m semi bummed because I killed the TEAS!

So how do we submit the application without scores?

I haven't submitted my application yet so I do not know. I have the application filled out and saved. I think you just do not upload and submit. I will know once the current classes end and I submit. Good luck, hopefully we will be classmates soon.

Good luck to you as well and thanks for your service. My husband was a 15W.

Thank you! Are you applying anywhere else or just UTA? Once I get in I’m going to petition the school that spouses should receive the same considerations that the VET gets.

I am also applying to TWU, and UT Tyler. But UTA is my first choice. Keeping my fingers crossed ?

Do anyone know how many applicants UTA usually get for Spring for the AOBSN? Or maybe Fall application circle pool is better.

I don’t know. It is pretty discouraging to hear people with perfect GPAs and no considerations get waitlisted. I will have around an 8.4 and I’m still concerned about my chances.

I am very nervous too. But your 8.4 is pretty high. I'm sure you will get in.

You should be good with that points. I have 8 points with no considerations and currently on a waitlist. I saw one guy get pulled out of waitlist with 7.95 points for Dallas location Last week. I think it also depends on the students pool for a particular location. I have applied for San Antonio and I heard it’s so competitive. I also have heard that there is less student pool for Spring compared to fall. With 8.4 points you will get accepted.
