UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

Thanks! That’s what I tried and it said it didn’t recognize me ?. I have even been using that email to talk to the nursing advisors.

I m planning to apply for Spring 2021. My science GPA is 4.0 and overall GPA is 3.9. No previous bachelors degree. How do you count the Overall points.

I think it's just science GPA plus over GPA which would be 7.9 for you. I will have a similar GPA when I am done, but because I have a bachelor's already I can add .5, which would give me 8.4

Specializes in EMT.

How many classes can you have IP when applying? I think all I need is my humanities class.

Hi everyone I need an urgent reply please I heard that UTA waived TEAS for June 1 deadline applications due to Covid 19 which prevented a lot of students from taking the TEAS. How true this statement? Can someone share the email they got about the TEAS please? Any information will be truly appreciated.

True, but you should be an active student at UTA by the deadline. the email stated the following :

Many students have reached out about how this temporary closure and reduced testing capacity will affect the June 1st application deadline and the TEAS requirement. At this time, the application deadline will not be extended. However, the decision has been made to waive the TEAS requirement for the Spring 2021 ranking cycle only (June 1, 2020 application deadline).

All other application eligibility guidelines remain in place as follows:

Complete the supplemental application via MyMav by June 1, 2020.

Be an active UTA student by the application deadline.

Complete all required natural sciences by the application deadline (Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology I, Microbiology, General Chemistry),

Earn a minimum 2.75 GPA in both the Admission GPA and the Natural Sciences GPA by the application deadline.

Complete the Criminal Background Check by the application deadline (recommended) but definitely by the time of acceptance (1st week of September).

Complete all required immunizations by the application deadline (recommended) but definitely by the time of acceptance (1st week of September).

Do you guys know what to put for the HESI score since it’s not required anymore.

UPLOAD YOUR TEAS EXAM RESULTS, DON'T FILL OUT THE HESI SPACES

Hey guys! I’m also in the process of applying to BSN programs for 2021. Does anyone know which program tends to have more applications sent in? As in AO BSN compared to on campus BSN?

I think the AO BSN tends to have more Application per circle. It's also more competitive and requires higher average GPA compare to on campus.

Thanks so much for the information, I was having difficulty scheduling the TEAS. Thanks God they waived it.

How are we to upload scores if there aren’t any.
