UTA PMHNP FALL 2021

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I applied for the PMHNP program at UTA for Fall 2021 back in February and I wanted to see who else has applied. I graduated with my BSN from UTA in 2018 so I'm hoping that increases my chances of being accepted. I know that the deadline to apply is in May so hopefully we'll have more information soon. Who else has applied? I'm looking forward to starting this new journey as I am claiming acceptance!

I spoke to an advisor yesterday and she said that decisions will be made by the end of April. Exciting!

I applied last week. Other than the generic grad admission application and essay, were there any additional requirements? I got an auto reply that my application was received and that was it.

Awesome! But no ma'am,  other than the application nothing else is needed for now. I received the same email also. I feel like I applied so long ago and I'm just playing the waiting game. LOL.

I had no idea that UTA had a PMHNP program. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much tuition is?

I just learned about it this year as I assumed they didn't have one. Thank God for Google! I believe tuition is $27,000 for the program but don't quite me on it.

Thank you Shai. I think the PMHNP must be new because I did my BSN with UTA not too long ago, and they had the FNP but not PMHNP.

One more question, is the PMHNP completely online? I've scoured their website and don't see much info on their website about the PMHNP program.

For some reason it’s not listed on the UTA official website. But like Shai said, when you Google it, there is a link to the UTA PMHP program page. It says it’s a hybrid program, mostly online with a few campus visits per semester

You're welcome. I searched for a pmhnp program at UTA in the past also and didn't see it but I'm not sure how long they've had it. The program is hybrid with both online and campus based classes. It isn't offered as online only and the program is 3 yrs. The deadline to apply is in May. Also, call UTA Nursing for more information at 817-272-2776.

Yes, @omarchggy you're correct. It is a hybrid program and mostly online for 3 yrs. I had to call to get more info.

Do you how many credits per semester? I am wondering if working full time would be feasible?

I was previously told 6 hours is full time but it was 9 hours for my BSN program.  I'm not exactly sure which is true. Six hours just doent seem right but I don't know.
