Howdy!
Just curious as to how many are planning on getting into the Spring 2019 ONLINE program.
Am taking TEAS in March/April, Intro to Nursing spring 2018, Pharmacology in summer and Path in Fall. I have all the prerequisites, am not working in health care at the moment.
Hello! I'll also be applying for the spring online at UTA though I'm not sure if I will get in. The advisor I spoke with said usually 8.0 points is great and anyone close to or above gets in; however the past applicant pool for spring 2018 was very competitive and they were dening people with 8.0 points. If anyone doesn't know, you add your nursing pre-req gpa to your science gpa and any consideration are .5 points. So I have 7.8 points,3.75 science
3.56 nursing
1 consideration
And was told I'm a definite for the on-campus and maybe for the online. It depends on all the other applicants. I'm still applying though!!!
you were told you were a definite for on campus and MAYBE for online? Does that mean it is harder for the online? Now you also say your science GPA and nursing GPA.what about overall GPA for the rest 70 credit hours - that doesn't count?
Does anybody know how many people are accepted every semester for the AOBSN at UTA? What would you guys plan on doing id not accepted? I mean I already have a profession, but nursing was something I want to do because I am interested in, but re- applying year after year if not accepted is crazy. What else can a person do if you have all the 80 or 90 credit hours up to that point? This has became so competitive because lack of funds for hospital training and faculty as if you are trying to become an astronaut....ughh. Years ago when I first decided to start with nursing, there was a word among people in class that acceptance in Oklahoma is very easy , so many of them went there for the nursing program and then came to get license here. Anybody heard of that?
I was born in Europe and I moved here right after high school - there when you apply for a certain degree it is competitive to get in, and easy to finish it. But you apply with exams in certain subjects right after high school. You don't have to invest time and money taking classes like here and then find out you are on a wait list or denied.
I had to kind of search for it..."UTA CONHI Info Group"... Here is the mentioned post..."Y'all, a little bird told me that accepted and waitlisted emails for the Spring 2019 applicants will be sent to mavs email by the first or second week of September. If a little bird tells me otherwise, I will post here. REMEMBER you must accept your spot within 7 days of receiving that email. So start checking daily."

Hey! Yes I am in Pharm for the fall! Which Methodist location are you working at? Do you know of any others that are applying from Methodist?
