UTA Online BSN 2019 Spring

Published

Howdy!

Just curious as to how many are planning on getting into the Spring 2019 ONLINE program.

Am taking TEAS in March/April, Intro to Nursing spring 2018, Pharmacology in summer and Path in Fall. I have all the prerequisites, am not working in health care at the moment.

Hi, I'm in the same boat as you and am planning my classes the exact same way. I'm currently taking intro to professional nursing now.

How are you finding Intro to Nursing? please keep your notes for me lol

Hey there! I am applying to Spring 2019! I took intro to nursing in Summer 2017. I'm currently taking A&P II and Psych the first half of this semester, and stats and micro the second half. Patho this summer, pharm this fall. I'm worried about my chances of getting in. I'm anticipating a 3.5 science GPA, and roughly 3.1 overall. (sigh)

I do have 3 considerations:

12 science credits from UTA

30 prerequisite hours from UTA

Previous Bachelors

An enrollment specialist told me that UT Southwestern was a partnered hospital, turns out we're not. Bummer.

Taking HESI in March or April.

I plan on appling for the UTA sping 2019 online! I am taking the TEAS early May. Pharmacology in the summer, Pathophysiology, intro to nursing, and legacy of the family in the fall.

I have been advised by many nurse friends to take patho first, then pharm. they say understanding patho makes pharm easier.

Hey JLA48, just curious as to why you plan on taking the HESI. Are you applying to another school besides UTA? I also plan on taking HESI to apply to a local college in case i dont get picked for UTA.

nice_guy,

I am considering applying to TWU; however, since I was enrolled at UTA prior to Fall 2017 I can take the HESI for UTA's BSN program.

I am looking forward to getting in!

Does anyone know if UTA is offering AO (dynamic) Patho or Pharm this summer? I was told by my advisor they would but I do not see them listed in the summer courses.

Hi Amber!

Yes, they're listed under NURS-UL. I'll be taking patho this summer!

Does anyone know the average GPA for the students who get accepted??
