UTA Nursing Fall 2015 On-Campus or AP Student Discussion Board

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello All,

This is a thread for open discussion on students applying for the nursing program starting Fall 2015. Feel free to address any concerns or questions you have!

I'm sure we're all in the same boat :)

As of now my current worry is, of course, getting in for the campus-based program.

My overall GPA is 3.67

and my science GPA is 3.75

HESI: Passed

No considerations

Not partnered

I've seen threads showing people got into the Spring semester with these stats but that application period is less busy soooooo...I'm worried.

*Please make sure to mention if you are applying for AP, On-Campus, or both

That would be nice if its true im just hoping were at the top of the list. It scares me because I did all my pre reqs at a community college I am not partnered it's just saddening that I wasn't able to do all my pre reqs at uta because I couldn't afford it

Hey guys, ok so I just got wait listed for both online and campus program. When I filled out my wait list response it said "Select the program in which you are confirming your position on the Wait List. Dual applicants may select either the campus-based BSN program or AP BSN program. If wait listed for both programs, selecting one option does not exclude you from being considered for both programs."

Does this mean if i choose one im off the other wait list?

No U will still be considered for the other hat are you aiming for

ok good! i will just choose the on campus, but I would be grateful for acceptance to either or

I am waitlisted to both prOgrams as well. I am still happy to be waitlisted though.

I believe that if I have atleast one consideration,I would have gotten in. My Gpa was the reason I am waitlisted and not denied I think

hey did you fill out the waitlist form only once? because I got two emails with link about waitlist form. I am curious if I have to do both of them .

The form mentioned by the way that no matter what program you pick, you will still be considered at waitlisted on both on-campus and ap bsn.

I only filled out one, I tried to do it again on my second email but it showed that I had already completed it

ok! thank you!

To be considered what courses should be taken at UTA vs. Jr. College? I know mostly all, but I was thinking English 1 and 2, Literature, & Technical writing at Jr. I'm confused with how to be considered per the school wanting 12 of 16 science hours and 30 plus prereqs. hours. Any advice is great advice. TIA!

you know, I took all my pre-reqs in community college. I am waitlisted to both program because I don't have any considerations. I have really good GPA so that must be the reason I was not denied at least.

I would prefer to take my classes in UTA but they are expensive.

Do well in your classes and aim that high GPA, you might also try to find a job in a hospital, and be partnered when you applied by June 5.

My overall gpa is 3.91 and science gpa 4.0 what are yours if you don't mind me asking?
