UTA Nursing Fall 2015 On-Campus or AP Student Discussion Board

Published

Hello All,

This is a thread for open discussion on students applying for the nursing program starting Fall 2015. Feel free to address any concerns or questions you have!

I'm sure we're all in the same boat :)

As of now my current worry is, of course, getting in for the campus-based program.

My overall GPA is 3.67

and my science GPA is 3.75

HESI: Passed

No considerations

Not partnered

I've seen threads showing people got into the Spring semester with these stats but that application period is less busy soooooo...I'm worried.

*Please make sure to mention if you are applying for AP, On-Campus, or both

Also all yall wait listed did yall complete patho and pharma yet?

you know, I took all my pre-reqs in community college. I am waitlisted to both program because I don't have any considerations. I have really good GPA so that must be the reason I was not denied at least.

I would prefer to take my classes in UTA but they are expensive.

Do well in your classes and aim that high GPA, you might also try to find a job in a hospital, and be partnered when you applied by June 5.

I want to do most and all sciences at UTA only because im a military dependent it will not be as expensive. I also want to clep some of the courses I was taking in high school but did not complete due to having my son. Thanks.

I got wait listed and I already took patho and pharm

Did anyone recieve any email that they can't get a spot on the waiting list

Hello I am currently taking patho and pharm both of them online and I am looking for someone to study with since I really need to bring up my grade or I would be out of the program. I was wondering if you had made a study group that I can join? Any help would be appreciated?

Did you receive the following e-mail saying the following?

"if wait listed for both programs, once an option was selected, consideration for the other program was no longer an option. " Please note the current change in this policy below:If wait listed for both programs, selecting one option does NOT exclude you from being considered for both programs.

Hope that will make you feel a little better. ;)

Yes, a few in my patho/pharm classes were denied.

Ok just trying to figure out around how many are on the list because everyone i have talked too has been either accepted or waitlisted.

does anyone will be taking intro nursing class in the summer and upper division elective?

I already took the intro to nursing it was an easy A. I will be taking the upper division elective over the summer as my very last prerequisite.
