Hello All,
This is a thread for open discussion on students applying for the nursing program starting Fall 2015. Feel free to address any concerns or questions you have!
I'm sure we're all in the same boat :)
As of now my current worry is, of course, getting in for the campus-based program.
My overall GPA is 3.67
and my science GPA is 3.75
HESI: Passed
No considerations
Not partnered
I've seen threads showing people got into the Spring semester with these stats but that application period is less busy soooooo...I'm worried.
*Please make sure to mention if you are applying for AP, On-Campus, or both
I got the email stating I was on the Waitlist for on campus and online BSN, but when I went on to fill out the waitlist response form it said I could only be on either waitlist, not both.
This concerns me as I have no idea how large each waitlist is and where I am on the waitlists
My stats are:
3.75 Science GPA
3.87 Overall GPA
No considerations
I have the crushing fear I am not going to be accepted.

Oh, I also wanted to leave this here for anyone who is interested in the ranking process, since everyone's always a little confused as to how exactly that works.
I had a meeting with one of the CON advisers (I went in on a walk-in Wednesday) last semester to sit down with her for an evaluation of my degree plan thus far. She said they rank by a point system, and it's out of 8 points possible. So somehow they figure both your GPAs together and run that by some factor (I'm not sure how much), and then they add on points per consideration that you have. Like I said, I'm not sure what equation they use to figure our your final points, but when I had my evaluation I had around a 3.4 overall and a 3.5 science and I had 6.9/8 total points, with my considerations.
Maybe that'll put some of you at ease or give you an idea of how they're ranking us against each other.
