The Dallas Campus!

That has to be such a relief that you have at least one option. Unfortunately I put all my eggs in uta's basket so now I must continue to wait...ugh!

Yeah I get it. I was about to give up when God answered my prayer. Are you here in the dfw area?

I applied in January for UT Arlington Fall 2014 PMHNP program. After talking with a couple of admins all my transcripts are received but, mymav says they are still waiting on a transcript. Anyone else find that the mymav is not updated? I have not heard anything about acceptance either. I was told that June 15th was cut off and July 1st the evaluations would begin. Anyone hear anything different?

You are talking about traditional, on-campus program, right? That was what I heard about fall was a June 15 deadline for applications and a July 1 deadline for supporting docs. If I don't get an acceptance into online program by the 10-12th of June, I'm going to apply for the fall traditional program, I just graduated from uta rn-bsn in May, so they have all my info already, so I'm not sure about your issue with transcript, I would call either uta or the sender of the transcript to investigate.

For those of you considering Chamberlain I might have some useful information. My job had an education fair last week and I went to check it out even though I already know where I'm going to school. Chamberlain said they offer discounts to employees of certain hospital systems. I live in the Houston area and he said Memorial Hermann employees get 15% off and St Luke's employees get 30% off (I might have those backwards).

Yes, I applied to the traditional program. Have you heard anything about the odds of acceptance for PMHNP vs. FNP or anything of the sorts? I hate waiting so long, considering my application was done in February--it's been pretty tortuous. I have been a nurse for 20 years, GPA not as high as everyones on here. I did awesome on my stats that I had to retake this spring. They told me my GRE was waived, but, I don't know if I believe the Admin Assistant. ha ha!!! I guess I just need to think about applying next year to more schools. I live rural (would need to commute the 2.75 hours). Hoping that living rural and wanting to work in a completely underserved area will benefit me. I would think that they have already starting reviewing completed applications, no?

I'm sure they have already started reviewing apps...not sure how long they will really take, but was told somewhere around the 15...but deadline for traditional is the 15th, so if I don't hear something soon I'll apply for traditional just to try to keep options open...live in Dallas so the commute won't be so bad for me...

I am not sure if it will make a difference but they are remodeling the nursing offices this week so it may take them a little longer than normal to look over all of the applications.

Oh...that's all I need is a delay in notification...I'm about to go crazy as it is! Checking my mymav acct 5-10 times a day already...I need a hobby.
