UTA FALL 2012

I was finally able to speak with someone from the nursing program today. They said they will still consider me for the fall. Pshew! I read on the website that they don't do in person advising for the online program. I may still take a chance and drive over if they don't get my transcripts evaluated soon. Good luck everyone. Looks like we've got quite a wait ahead of us!

Just wanted to say hi to the group. I'm also waiting for a decision on Fall 2012.

It's been a long wait. I'm taking pathophysiolgy and pharmacology now, which is keeping me busy. Will only need to take my Nursing elective after this.

3.75 Science GPA and 89 on HESI. I'm hoping to get in on my first application, but I'm not partnered, and what I've read means that will make it harder.

Nice to meet you all and look forward to conversing.

Does the traditional program consider hospital partnership? The FAQ section of the campus program does not mention about this, but the AP section does. Anyone know?

I have been reading these forums for a while and finally registered. I have applied to UTA's on campus and AP programs for Fall 2012. I am not partnered. I am currently taking Pathophysiology and will take Pharm this summer. Good luck to everyone applying!

Hey all!

I've currently applied to the on-campus program only!

I heard Spring '12 was tough to get in because they had the most 4.0 Science GPA from UTA that semester so maybe we will all stand a chance this time! (fingers crossed) All of our grades are good....it's just that they don't have enough teachers to let us all in...btw don't listen to the advisors...I swear they seem to bring you down rather than encourage you! Stay positive, pray, and breathe! It's not the end of the world...and there are plenty of schools. I don't know if some of yall believe in GOD but he has a plan for all of us and just because you don't get in doesn't mean it's not meant to be...it's just not the right time...he has something else planned! Does anyone know where I could get a list of the hospitals partnered with UTA?

I'm aware of Texas Health, JPS and Baylor. Are there any others?

I've spoken with my advisor and she tells me that we wont get our letters until the end of April.

I just wanted to add if yall didn't do so well on your HESI dont worry too much about it, all they check is if you passed it or not :) Ohhh and one more thing.. if yall are taking any classes that you need for the program and have applied for the FALL 2012 semester..try your best to do well on your current exams.. they take that into consideration too even though we wouldnt be done with ALL our exams by the time they mail the letters.

Hi everyone! I was somewhat active in the Spring 2012 hopefuls board and am so glad to see this one going! I was denied for Spring 2012 so now I am re-taking Micro and A&P 1. I took them 15 years ago at UNT and made B's. Since I have completed all the other pre-reqs and pre-nursing courses I had to take classes anyway in order to keep my financial aid happy haha!

And...drum roll please....I got my official offer from THR downtown this morning for a position! I am so happy and excited! I will be working in the ER and it's a PRN position. So, my science GPA is a 3.8, 97.4% on the HESI, and now that I'm partnered I am hoping I will have much better luck this time around. I applied to anything and everything in November (when I finally realized how important partnership was!) and didn't have any luck. I took a "break" and started applying again last week and everything worked out exactly as I'd hoped. DONT GIVE UP!!!! IT WILL HAPPEN!

I do have a question about the Micro final since it's next week....she doesn't allow us to look at our quizzes whatsoever to study but is the final comprised of quiz questions? Trying to figure out the format. Thanks in advance for any pointers!

MEGREEN---wow, this is fantastic news!! I recently got a job at THR Fort Worth and am soooo relieved to be partnered! I guess I make the number 25 but that's fine with me :) Thanks for the info!

I've been applying to THR since November last year and haven't received a call for anything, not even an interview. I'm wondering if you have any suggestions. What position did you apply for? I apply for everything that's listed, but find it odd that they have never called. Any help is appreciated.
