UTA AO BSN fall 2018

Published

Hey Y'all! I am applying for the Fall 2018 start at UT Arlington! I wanted to see who else was applying so we could help each other out/ know someone when the program starts! I would love to get to know y'all!

So I was talking tonight with the nurses where I work about waiting to hear back and being nervous etc... One of the nurses asked if I entered my "partner code." This is the second time I have heard someone say something about needing to enter a code for being partnered. I clicked yes for being partnered and it is listed on my app. People who are partnered, did I miss something?

I know when I applied there was a list of hospitals to choose from. I assumed those are the partnered hospitals. Is that not how it works? I am also curious how the process works if anyone knows. This was to reply to MMT89 post I am still learning how this posting stuff works.

Being partnered pretty much guarantees acceptance because that's where you'll do your clinicals. Basically, you would need to be employed at one of the facilities that's listed for this year's partnership and that would've needed to have been on your application.

SN: I finally got an email saying my application was reviewed and is complete.

Have most people gotten the email stating their application is reviewed and complete? I have not gotten this yet.

I just got mine this week. This is what I was told by the university, "Every advisor processes applications in her own method. Some send as the applications are processed and some wait until they process all her applications and then email letters of completion. Just be patient, we are very actively working on processing applications."

Hope this helps.

snpercy- Are you in the Dallas area? Because I am, and when I applied there was *not* a list of hospitals. I've emailed them about it and they say that they still don't know who the partner hospitals will be for this area for Fall 2018. That's why I'm super confused about how being partnered will factor in, how they'll place people for clinicals, etc.

rkl1493 - no, I haven't gotten an email saying my application has been reviewed or completed. I was starting to get nervous but I guess each advisor does it differently like dvah1987 said.

On your degree plan, does it say if you are partnered?

Yes I am in Dallas. That is weird because when I filled out my online application I selected Baylor from the list and it is listed on my completion email that I am partnered with Baylor. The on campus app didn't have that but the online app did. I applied in January I wonder if the app changed.

It is not on my degree plan but it is on my completion email. My degree plan has been updated so that makes me worried. I will call tomorrow to ask. I bet they are flooded with calls :/ I hate to bug them I just want to make sure everything is correct.

Do you mean hasn't been updated? Mine has, I'm just not sure if I'm partnered or not. I work for the VA and I know sometimes they use them for clinicals, just unsure for Fall.

My degree plan was updated it even says on there according to application a couple of times. Is the VA showing on your degree plan? I dont see a spot for partnership on the degree plan.
