I was accepted to ABSN :-) My question is those who narrowed their choice to UT Tyler would you mind letting me know why. I would have to relocated either way from San Antonio to either Houston or Tyler.

Does the ABSN start in spring or summer 2015? It seems to me the staff are overwhelmed with emails that they are not thorough with their responses. I took all pre-req's plus taking currently pharmacology, nursing concepts, and pathophysiology.

The absn does not start until summer, but you have to take required classes on campus in spring. This is how they get away with saying the program is only 14 months.

But concepts and pharmacology for Tyler have to be taken AT ut Tyler, so you prob would have to take them again in January.

I am still confused on whether we need to go ahead and submit the Consent form for the background check or are we to wait for the confirmation email from the BON?

Anyone have a solid idea as to what we are supposed to do? I don't want to screw this process up!

So far:

1. Obtained my childhoold vaccination records.

2. Receive HEPB 1st shot.

3. Registered for CPR course.

4. Completed and signed 3 of the consent forms (CBC, Medical History, and Release for Immunization Filing/Record)

I really want to get the ball rolling on the criminal background check and fingerprinting...

Thank you for the clarification t&g0913. I am however going to decline their offer so whoever was waitlisted...congrats! I have accepted an offer elsewhere. Good luck on your journey because I am sure we will all have a tough year of studying up ahead.

Hi guys! I got accepted to the accelerated nursing program. How did you guys know which campus you're assigned to? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the letter.

Also, where's the facebook group for our class?
