UT Tyler Fall 2014

Hello everyone! I wanted to make a thread for those applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the fall of 2014. If you have any insight on what is competitive, or any thoughts you would like to share.. please post! I'd like to hear from others applying! Thanks :)

I talked to Tyler earlier today and all they said was this week sometime. The advisor at Palestine told me they were waiting until they had the orientation page up or something like that. So I'm leaning towards the end of the week

I e-mailed my professor this afternoon and she told me that the e-mails should be send out soon but doesn't know when. They have already scheduled orientation for Tyler's campus for this Wednesday morning but said that if we haven't received emails by Wednesday they would obviously have to postpone the meeting. I am so ready to find out already!!

The advisor at Tyler just emailed me and said letters may be going out tomorrow! Fingers crossed everyone!

Oh ok!!! Thanks for letting me know everyone! I hope tomorrow they send out letters. I'm getting really anxious! tyler is my first choice! At least we know it's this week for sure and then we can calm our nerves. I thought more pple got acceptance letters from the Palestine and longview branches. But only one person has posted.

So far Palestine people are the only lucky ones. Longview has not sent out letters yet either. They should have sent them out all at once so people are not worrying why they didn't get one! Just my opinion :)

I agree with u kenzilu2006. I wish they sent them all at once. But oh well, we have waited this long so we can wait a couple more days. :) these are going to be the longest days of my life

Yeah no kidding!!! Kenzilu2006 which campus did u apply to? Are u also a transfer?

I'm a transfer and I applied to Tyler and Longview. My chances are slim to nothing though so I'll probably apply again next semester since I will be through with all prerequisites and have an associates. My points are really low right now but I thought I'd give it a chance. Did you only apply to Tyler?

Oh me too!!! I applied to tyler and longview! :) I hope to get in tyler. How many points do u have? U never know how competitive each semester is. The advisor told me it varies so u never know! :) And no I also applied at twu but that's my backup school if I don't get into tyler.

Awesome! My points are in the low 60's so I know Tyler won't happen but that's why I choose Longview as well. The advisor ar Palestine told me they have accepted as low as in the 50's so I thought I would give it a chance. I also applied at Kilgore since I have to stay in the Tyler area. So if I don't get in here and I do at Kilgore, I'm going to do the RN-BSN online at UT Tyler. Time will tell!

Oh wow!!! It's so hard to tell what applicants get accepted each semester. It varies so much! I wonder how many pple applied? I'm assuming they are taking so long bc there were a lot of applicants.
