I'm applying too. I just took the TEAS V a couple weeks ago and finishing micro this summer. I have not heard how competitive UT-Tyler is compared to other nursing schools yet.

Wish everyone good luck on their applications! I am assuming they wont be getting back to us until 4-6 weeks after the deadline, so not until late October.

Hey guys! I am also applying to UT Tyler Accelerated BSN spring 2017. I am taking the TEAS this weekend! I am a little nervous, has anyone else taking it? Has anyone completed the nursing application yet? I put in what information I had to see around what my score would be with...it was 96. I am very curious to know how many points do people typically have that are accepted into the program and what is the scale for the points??

Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply to the Accelerated BSN Program at UT Tyler for Spring 2017. I'm curious about the admissions process as well. I have taken the TEAS V Test. I graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors in Science; however, I'm currently in Micro and scheduled to take A&P II this fall. Those are the only two prerequisites I'm lacking. I also calculated my score using the nursing application, and it was a 92. Does anyone know if the admissions process is based solely on this number? Are any other factors taken into consideration? Any additional information that people have would be appreciated! Good luck to everyone!
Their acceptances are just based off the 100 point system on the online application. They don't take into account healthcare experience, volunteering, references, interviews, etc. Supposedly, their accelerated program has decreased spots from prior years to 35-50. I'm not sure what prior admitted have points wise. I think if you have 90+, you should have a good shot.

After submitting the Accelerated application, has anyone heard from them? Any form of acknowledgement whatsoever?

Hi guys! I just completed my application for the Accelerated BSN program. I called Ms. Tammie today and she said once you complete your TEAS test and the application, all we do is wait.

Did anyone else NOT receive any kind of email when submitting the application?
Same question I've been asking. I didn't (still haven't) receive any email . It got me concerned.
I never received an email
