UT Southwestern Dallas July 2020 Nurse Residency

Updated:   Published

Hi! Here's a new forum for everyone applying for the July 2020 Nurse Residency at UTSW. The application closes on Dec. 1st! I applied for the Women's services track!

I heard back from the Perioperative OR track yesterday! Has anyone else heard anything?

Has anyone heard back from critical care?

Not yet! When did you interview?

I interviewed on the 13th. I was told we wouldn't hear until they had completed interviews but I didn't realize they were interviewing so late.

I interviewed on 1/24 for the progressive care unit. The people at the sign in table told me we should hear something back by the 2nd week in February.

I know some people who have received rejection emails for the critical care track already

I'm sure they have a ton of correspondence traffic right now. Best thing we can do is just be patient and wait. It sucks but nothing will change the outcome at this point. Good Luck to all! I'm going to wait until the end of February and if I haven't heard anything then I'll reach out.

I've been counting it as a good sign that I haven't received a rejection e-mail yet! I read in previous forums that sometimes they will offer an interview on a different unit if you don't get your original one. Do you happen to know if that's the case this time?

I know a couple people that were offered interviews for acute medical after not getting critical care last week
