Hi! Here's a new forum for everyone applying for the July 2020 Nurse Residency at UTSW. The application closes on Dec. 1st! I applied for the Women's services track!

I have two friends that received rejections from critical care but offered acute medical and two friend that received offers from OR and ER

The only thing I’ve heard from Perioperative track was that the department of education should be reaching out in the “next couple” days. That was sent to me by Katherine Bhore who is the assistant nurse manager for Clemons

Were your friends that got rejection letters from Critical Care internal candidates?

Yes they were both critical care and received a no but were both offered acute care interviews

Oh I see, did they work at UTSW as a tech? I heard of some people getting rejection letters for critical care but they worked there as a tech and got offered acute care interviews instead.

No Both were students only

I applied for critical care but haven't heard anything. Not really sure what this means seeing as some rejections/interviews for other units seem to have been sent.

I emailed them regarding L&D specifically and they said they are still processing all of the applications. However, I had a friend get interviewed for either postpartum or NICU last week.
