Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).
Should I have submitted another transcript showing that the last 2 courses I need for prerequisites are in progress or will I be okay?
As long as you had 40 hours completed when you applied then you’re good! You’ll just need to send in an official updated transcript at the end of the semester to show that you finished the required 60 hours. :)
Important update regarding my “class schedule” that I posted about on Friday!!
The Spring when Fall semesters are obviously a little different from Summer because they’re less condensed. I didn’t think about it before, but I’m really glad I did now. My J1 class schedule may very well be the same as what y’all’s will be over the summer, but I’m not sure about it considering it’s a more “condensed” semester.
Basically the “update” I’m implying is that your days could be longer to make up for the lack of time in comparison to other semesters. I’m NOT sure about that AT ALL, but I figured a warning of the possibility of it would be nice for you guys to know about ahead of time. Hugely sorry in advance if I’m wrong, but I’d rather y’all be aware of it just in case!! ?
Do y’all know what they do about purchasing scrubs? Do they provide us with a link to purchase scrubs through them so they have the correct logo on them? Or do we provide our own and take them somewhere to get embroidered with the logo?

They’ll be covering that during New Student Admit’s Day! There’s different “package types” you can choose from to get scrubs ? You can definitely bring your own (as long as they’re navy blue!) and get them sent in for embroidering. I bought 3 pairs of the Grey’s active brand scrubs and I LOVE them!!! I can’t remember the cost of them individually though?I’m sorry!!
I just caught up with this thread and there's so much valuable info so thank you everyone. ? I'm a bit more nervous now about the transcript evaluation. I didn't receive one until I asked for it last semester and it was dated after acceptances so I hope that's not the case again this time around.
Good luck everyone. Acceptances are so close lol. It's both nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time.
Has anyone received a transcript evaluation recently? I got one I believe on February 9th but was told from someone in the SON that I should be getting another one with some corrections that were made. So I just wanted to see if any have gone out recently.
I was told that they are supposed to send more out this week!:)
Oh ok I hope so. I was hoping it would be today since the mail didn’t come yesterday but so far no luck lol. RNDestinyy are you still waiting for yours?
@RnDestinyy Yea that’s what I was worried about too. I just feel like seeing the actual transcript eval will bring me a lot of peace of mind lol. Hopefully if we don’t get one they were still adjusted accordingly.

Hey, @Kelsey_park I can't remember if you mentioned it before, but do you live on campus? Also, Is campus housing even an option for the summer session?
