Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).
No not yet. I called Mrs. Mendoza to see if she received the forward from the registar’s office but she didn’t answer. I hope I get it soon though seeing as that decisions are like two and a half weeks away

I knowwww I’m so anxious lol. I just called today to verify that now that the corrections had been made to my credit hours I wanted to make sure I would still be considered for admission for the summer since with the corrections I’m at 45 credit hours. I called the student affairs office and got transferred to Mrs. Carrozza and she said that since Mrs. Mendoza was the one that did or sent the corrections then I should be good Becuz she’s the one that handles that and that I should be getting another eval but idk I’m still so nervous that something didn’t go according to plannn lol. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we both get our Evals soon and that everything is fixed!
So do y'all think they don't send out all of the acceptances on the same day?
Yes! So for Spring (this current semester) they sent out acceptances on October 22nd. Rejections came after and then waitlisted status a little later. You’ll most likely hear on 3/1 just because it’s a Friday but then again I heard on a Monday so ya never truly know!?!
@Kelsey_park Hi Kelsey, since you're already a student, I was wondering if you remember any mandatory events before classes start?? I am trying to travel to another country before hand from April to early May and was wondering if there is anything for the school that might be conflicting with that time frame. Thank you:))
I got my transcript eval! My numbers are what I calculated, except my overall GPA is exactly 3.4 instead of in between 3.4 and 3.5. So a teeny tiny bit lower than I thought. I’ll forever be haunted by those 2 Fs I got years ago.
The only thing I need to email them about is under my “in progress” classes it shows A&P1 along with other classes I’m finishing up. I am NOT taking A&P1, but my A&P1 that I did take is on the eval as well. So I guess that’s just a small error, but I want to make sure it’s fixed regardless.

Yayyyyyy for small victories lol. I’m happy you finally got your transcript evaluation!! The days are dragging.
They are definitely dragging. All of my next exams are in March, so there’s nothing to keep me busy besides basic studying and this forum lol.
I might start looking at dosage calculation videos on YouTube for the heck of it since that’s the number one thing every current nursing student has suggested.
Lol i have plenty of school work to keep me occupied but I always seem to find time to worry and think about whether I’ll get in or not lol. How soon after we start school would we take that dosage exam?

So it says AP1 in progress, and it has the AP1 that you did take listed on there as a class that doesn't count? Was it a 4 hour course? Lab taken online? That seems odd I would definitely call ASAP!
Has anyone applied for the Fall just in case things don't work out for the Summer? I'm wondering if it matters if you apply closer to the deadline rather than before? I really hope we do hear the first of March because I'm scared of reapplying right before the deadline and it looking bad.

No it has both my A&Ps on there as counting and says “requirement fulfilled” for them. But it also has another A&P1 listed as “IP” in progress, I guess as if I were retaking it.

No I don’t believe it matters. I mean I applied for Summer pretty late and still got a transcript eval early. I’m not applying for Fall until acceptances go out and if I haven’t heard anything or get put on the wait list.
