Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

That makes sense, as much as I hate it. Why punish someone for trying to do better, so frustrating. 17 year old me was not focus or disciplined enough and now 27 year old me has to pay for it with those repeated classes :). I am hoping though that they don't focus too much on that "overall" GPA and focus more on the science and prereq GPAs. I definitely think those two paint a better pictures of a students capability to be successful in this program more than unrelated courses.
From the 2018-2020 catalog:
"The Cizik School of Nursing considers the totality of each application and gives consideration to the following factors:
1. Intellectual capacity, based on consideration of undergraduate prerequisite GPA and the prerequisite science GPA; academic awards and honors, scholarly accomplishments; degree of difficulty of undergraduate academic program; pre- professional evaluations (THEA); previous college courses and/or degree(s); personal interview or request to complete a questionnaire; and any other relevant data submitted"
I just got a call from the registrar and they were indeed factoring in any withdrawals into my overall GPA ,which made my gpa go way down. I suggestion if anyone has as issue with their overall gpa that they call and make sure this was not the case for you so they can fix it and send out a new evaluation with an updated gpa.

I'm pretty certain it is what the committee uses when considering admission. I think they send it to us as a courtesy so we know where we stand in general as far as competitiveness goes in the event that you are denied/waitlisted.

Oh ok. I’m still attempting to get my issue resolved with my misssing credit hours and was hoping the committee would be able to just look at my transcripts and accept the classes on their own but I guess not lol. I ended up calling today and was told I needed to send in the course syllabus, that the course descriptions were not enough. I’ve been trying to track down the syllabi all day and was able to get one and emailed that to school but nothing yet. I’m worried it won’t get fixed in time.
I just want to make sure i got this right. So i applied to the UT HEALTH summer session program and i received my transcript evaluation and it says i haven't completed the Sociology course. I discovered this after i sent in the application. anyway, I am in the process of completing it now. I should be done in the beginning of may. Anyone know if this is going to get my application tossed or do I still have a chance if i complete it by then?

Luuuucky! I have a business statistics course from my first business undergrad and they wouldn't accept it in place of the "intro math stats" they have on their transfer guide. I am unfortunately taking a second stats class now lol.

You will still be considered as long as it is to be completed before the beginning of the summer session. According to their website summer session starts May 20.
