Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

I don't believe that is true. I was wait listed for the Spring 2019, and I never received a transcript evaluation. I have also read multiple threads where people who did get accepted never received one as well.

Good information. I do not know the method to their “madness”. I just know the information I was given by a counselor when I asked if I would receive a transcript evaluation. This cycle is ridden with flaws. One counselor that responded to emails told me that the date to turn in all of my documents was 3/15. Thankfully I attended their online info session and received corrected info.
Agreed. I think it may have to do with when you applied. I applied in early October and received my evaluation end of October. That was probably a slower time for applications so they probably had more down time to complete evaluations. It seemed like alot of people waited til the end of the Fall semester to apply (rather than apply, then send transcripts once semster was over) so it makes sense that evaluations are slow to come out now.
If you're concerned they do have a really helpful transfer guide on their website and you can use a GPA calculator easily on the internet. Hope this helps. As far as decisions go, I've noticed a trend of then coming out the first week or so of March, which is helpful since the application deadline for Fall is March 15, it makes sense for them to let us know before that next cut off.

Really??? You just made my night and I don’t even know if I’ll get one ?. It’s just that any new piece of information is like gold ?. So they recently sent them out or are just starting to?

They said just starting to so it might be a week or two until we actually get them in the mail.
Well I think my science GPA and prerequisite GPA are ok I’m just wondering if I did the overall right. I have GPAs from 2 different schools so I wasn’t exactly sure how to get the cumulative. I found something online on how to do it so I just hope I did it right. I know UTH doesn’t use the +/- on grades but if I got an A- in the class do they just view it as an A?
