UT Health Pacesetter BSN Fall 2018

Published

I haven't seen a topic for the UT Health Fall 2018 program, so here it is!

I am applying for the fall with following stats:

Prereq GPA 3.65

Science GPA 4.00

HESI (just took it last Friday):

Reading 90

Vocab 92

Grammar 84

Math 96

AP 100

I am making a career shift with a BS in Chemistry that I got from UH Downtown.

Good luck everyone!

Really??? I hope that's true then...it makes me feel a bit better, thanks!

When I click on "active application" it takes me to a different page that lists "Application Date", "Application Number", "Academic Plan", and "Status". There's something next to all of them and next to "status" it says "Application under review".

Yeah the transcript eval is just for your purposes. It shows what classes they used for your admission/application and which ones they didn't. Also, from what I've been told, they list what classes you're missing or what you still need to complete. That way you know what you need to work on if you need to apply again.

Ah I see. Maybe it's the browser I'm using? I've tried Firefox as well but same thing. But I'm on mobile. I'll try a PC later on today. Hopefully that works. But I'm starting to worry that maybe they didn't receive my HESI score before the app deadline. Maybe I'm freaking myself out. They told me they did but idk lol

Ohh okay, it would still be nice to receive one just to know that my electives and my art credit are accepted.

It could be, try using chrome! If your HESI isn't on your to-do list and they say they received it on time then I'm sure you're fine.

Yeah! I want one too because I really want to attend uthsc. It's my dream school! Lol so if I'm missing something, I'd like to know.

I'm gonna check out chrome too. Hopefully everything is good. I have a back up plan just in case I don't get into UTH (Lonestar) but I would still like to go to UTH. It would really suck if I lost out on admission just because I didn't turn something in one time to the school.

Did any of you receive an email about getting your fingerprinting done?

Did any of you receive an email about getting your fingerprinting done?

No, did you receive an email like that?

I haven't received anything

I did; after calling around to a few schools, I found out it was for another school I had applied to. For some odd reason they send your name to the board for fingerprinting prior to accepting you.

I could feel everyone's minute of panic after we all wondered briefly why we didn't get a possible "fingerprint" email. Lol! Also I have a question. So I have a few classes in progress to meet all the needs of the prerequisite list. I do not have any pending "to do" prompts. I've read on previous comments that if you have classes in progress your transcript still reflects as "to-do." What are your guys' thoughts?

Oh man I don't think I've ever checked my portal so fast!!! Lol I'm still taking required courses but my still says pending. I was told it will as long as I'm still enrolled in classes and they don't have a complete transcript but that it shouldn't affect their decision.

Sorry guys; didn't mean to give you all false hope!

Does UT Health Houston not do an interview process? Sorry I haven't caught up on this thread and I'm new to allnurses. I have experience and work as a certified nursing assistant, but unfortunately do not have the best GPA/HESI. Do y'all think I still have a chance?

Well the minimum requirements to be considered are 3.0 science GPA, 2.75 pre-reqGPA, and a 75% on each HESI section. I imagine if you are above those, you have a chance! The average GPA of those accepted is a 3.5 and I believe the HESI average is in the low 90s.

You don't know until you apply!
