UT Health Pacesetter BSN Fall 2018

Published

I haven't seen a topic for the UT Health Fall 2018 program, so here it is!

I am applying for the fall with following stats:

Prereq GPA 3.65

Science GPA 4.00

HESI (just took it last Friday):

Reading 90

Vocab 92

Grammar 84

Math 96

AP 100

I am making a career shift with a BS in Chemistry that I got from UH Downtown.

Good luck everyone!

Also, when do you guys think we will hear back? It seems to be a trend of 1.5-2 months post application deadline. I'm having my fingers crossed for May 1st-ish. What are your guys' thoughts?

I think May as well! I saw in the Fall 2017 forum that people were hearing back around April/May and then those waitlisted, around June/July and of course closer to start time.

Hello again everyone! I just received my transcript evaluation in the mail today and my stats are as follows:

Overall GPA: 3.83

Nursing prerequisite GPA: 4.0

Prerequisite science GPA: 4.0

I am not sure the difference between those last two to be honest. But I will take it! Hopefully those stats are good enough to get in aside from my HESI score which was not too good in my opinion. Again, best of luck to everyone. We will all be great nurses one day!

I hope I get a course eval soon! I looked back at the forum for the Fall 2017 term and it looks like they didn't start getting their acceptances/denials until the last week of May! That seems like an eternity to wait!!

Last Fall we got our acceptances at the end of May!

Hey, Futurenurse64...does it says anything else in the letter what is the next step or you got just the transcript evaluation?

annacharris, after you got accepted, did you have to attend a mandatory meeting before the school started?

There was mandatory orientation yeah! But I think they use the word mandatory loosely lol

Is anyone attending the information session tomorrow, April 13th, at UT Health at 10AM?

Does the course Eval have a meaning?? I haven't recieved one yet.

I'm new to joining the forum but have been reading along. I don't believe the course eval has a meaning besides they have looked at your app and calculated your GPA. It's good though to make sure you have all the req. classes...I haven't received one yet either. This is my 1st time applying...been out of the school game for over a decade. Now that I have a kid about to graduate and a toddler that allows me to do more, I am ready to finish out what I started so long ago.

Seems like there are some people who get one while some don't - either case does not guarantee admission.

Attended the information session today - parking situation was horrific as the nearest garage was completely full.

The session was productive and very informative.

Admission decisions are based solely on numbers - GPA, science GPA, HESI.

Average prereq GPA is about 3.5, HESI about 85-90%.

Cost of attendance - $16,000 for the program.

Did I miss anything?
