I haven't seen a topic for the UT Health Fall 2018 program, so here it is!
I am applying for the fall with following stats:
Prereq GPA 3.65
Science GPA 4.00
HESI (just took it last Friday):
Reading 90
Vocab 92
Grammar 84
Math 96
AP 100
I am making a career shift with a BS in Chemistry that I got from UH Downtown.
Good luck everyone!
Hi all!
I also applied to the upcoming Fall 2018 cycle. I have been working towards my pre-reqs and associates degree at HCC for two years. This is my first time applying. I recently had a baby (she will be 6 months by the time August comes around). I really hope I get accepted! I have an awesome support system at home so I hope I can successfully finish nursing school with a baby. I also applied to Lonestar's ADN program. If accepted there (and denied at UTH) I'll be going there. Anyone else here a non-traditional student? It'd be nice to know that other moms (or dads) or other non-traditional students are out there too!
Stats are as follows: (haven't received transcript evaluation)
ScienceGPA: 3.75
Pre-RequisiteGPA: 3.64
HESI: 91.2 (if I'm remembering correctly)
I have three C's from when I was fresh out of high school that are bringing my pre-reqGPA down. Oh well :/
Hello all and good luck to everyone applying. I am finishing up my last 3 pre-reqs (Micro, sociology, and statistics) which I should get As in. I cannot seem to calculate my correct GPA but the only classes I have made Bs in throughout 74 hours (I took a few extra science classes for my associates of science) was Chem 1, Calculus 1, and General Biology 2. I think only Chem 1 is counted towards nursing GPA though. My overall HESI score was an 86.4 which is pretty low I am aware but hopefully my GPA makes up for it. Best of luck to everyone!
Looking at previous forums, I don't think they take into account your whole college career for the overall GPA. There has been people with overall GPAs of 2 point something and they still got in. I think only the GPA for the 60 hours of required prerequisites (what they call nursing prerequisites), and then the science GPA are taken into account. Now I don't know if your science GPA goes into the nursing GPA or not, but I think it does.
Thanks! Hopefully not. If just the prerequisites for the program, then I have a 4.0, and so far I have all As in the science requirements as well. The only Bs I had were for a few of my business degree classes like accounting and finance and maybe a B in my abnormal psychology class I took for my Psych degree.
I applied for the Fall semester as well. My stats really aren't that great for UT Health honestly but you cant get in if you dont even try!lol
Overall GPA 3.7
Science GPA 3.2
Hesi overall 84
I have a 76 as my A&P score.
I've retaken 2 of my sciences and have A's so my gpa will be going up. I'll reapply for the spring if I dont get in this go round
Hey Guys!

Cumulative GPA :3.7
Science GPA: 4.0

I receive my mail that's going to be delivered to my mailbox in a nifty email from USPS.
I saw my transcript evaluation in the queue to be delivered to my house.
SO they have sent out transcript evaluations.
