UT Arlington RN-BSN Online Program...Newbies?

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hello,

I just recently received my acceptance letter for the online RN-BSN program at UT Arlington. I have registered, and will start classes on October 21, 2013. Just wondering if anyone else will be starting soon. Thanks!

Hi theoZZ,

What did you think about Tech writing and Professional Nursing A and B? I will start Tech. writing in January and Nursing A and B in February. I started with Texas politics and Composition II. Just finished those.

I heard back and my status should go from provisional to accepted in a couple days. Then hopefully I can figure out my degree plan. I've never done online classes before, so we'll see how it goes.

Hi everybody!

I have been accepted to UTA and am waiting for my transcript evaluation. It has taken foreverrrr. I am not sure if I want to go with UTA or GCU. I really like how quick GCU was and how they laid everything out for me. All the classes I would need to take (only 11!) and the costs including books!

I'm out of the states right now so I am hoping I can get the textbooks needed for UTA without crazy shipping costs.

Does anyone have any info on what the program is like? GCU does 5 week classes and I hear they are pretty intensive.

Thanks!

Aimee

I applied over two months ago. I was accepted by the college but am still waiting on the nursing department to accept me. They have my transcripts and accepted all my credits for transfer. I am in contact with an enrollment counselor periodically but it's really taking a long time. So much so that I have applied to and may go that route instead. I think I could finish in two terms and be done for about $7000.

Technical writing will be my first class at UTA starting Spring 2014 (in five days time). I am taking only one class this January and intend to double up afterwards.

Can anyone tell me best resources to help pass this class? Also, what courses are best to double up. I am in the RN-BSN Program.

Hi Loren 2002,

How was Texas Govt? It will be my next class to take after technical writing. I am not much into hist and govt stuff. Any heads up for this class

I just graduated with my ADN this past December. I still need Federal Govt, State Govt, College Algebra, Stats, Sociology, Literature and Tech writing. Can I still apply? Do they offer these classes in short 5-6 week semesters like they do the BSN classes?
