Because of the pandemic a lot of people have been inspired to become a nurse, and because of that there's been an influx of applications across the nation including UT. I applied for cns and was told to reapply for leads as a lot of people, so I emailed tracy asking for basic advice on how to make myself a strong applicant. She said she would tell me after the process was over but she also told me there was a record number of applicants this time around ?

According to past threads, it seems like some applicants from pmhnp & cns have also been redirected to LeaDs, so I don’t think that is anything new. I asked Tracy today about how many applicants are interviewed for LeaDs and about how many are offered spots. She told me about 55-65 applicants are interviewed for about 35-38 spots, this however is only for LeaDs though.
I didn't say it was anything new I was just saying that there has been an influx of applications for each specialty. With that being said, I feel like that's generally the same number of people they typically interview!

Probably not super helpful in easing speculation or nerves at this point, but this site shows the information about previous years’s admission statistics (filter for nursing...apologies to those who’ve already seen this info!)

The waiting game has been brutal, but we’ve all worked so hard and it will hopefully be worth it in the end...one more week everyone! Stay strong ◡̈

Thank you for sharing ☺️! I wish you the best! Have you applied elsewhere? The wait game really has been stressing me out!

Is it just me or is anyone else's anxiety in overdrive with Feb. 1st looming around the corner? ?
Do all decisions typically come out on the same day regardless of the speciality??
