Hello!
Has any one applied to USF or is considering this school for Spring 2010 or Fall 2010? I am going to apply in October, so I am very anxious for October to arrive!
So I called today and asked just for fun (I literally had nothing else to do lol) and they said that noone has received their acceptance/rejection letters for entry to this spring 2010's bsn program. I also applied for the nov.1st deadline. She said that acceptance letters have gone out to non-nursing majors who applied for spring 2010 but no nursing students have been notified and won't be notified until mid-December. So as for your situation, I have no idea. But anyway I was just satisfying my curiosity as I'll be attending SMU
mfrancisco, did you here anything either? Anyone who is going to the Spring BSN program let me know. I'd love to chat...
Hi, dpeterson, I found out mid November that I was going to attend the spring 2010 bsn program, too :) I'm very excited and veerrrry nervous! Are you planning to live on campus?
I hate to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but just to offer some sort of relief, USF often offers admission to the program but pushes the clinicals back a whole year, i.e. You can come to the University in Spring, but you won't actually start your clinical classes until the following Spring. They usually don't give clinical spots in the Fall because they have a large number of 4 year students (around 100) they have to push through, and the Spring class is smaller (around 60) and usually made up of "transfer" students and students who failed clinical or nursing major classes.
You usually have to have all of your CPR, shots, etc stuff in mid-december, so if you haven't heard by now be prepared for being offered admission, and a clinical spot at least a full semester out.
They have changed the whole program, so maybe this too has changed, but me and about 25 other people were in that same situation this time last year.
Good luck to all of you!
afrobuddhess- that sucks to hear and i'm sorry that you had to go through all that. thank you very much though for the feedback. it will greatly help w/ my decision-making to USF! much love :)
dpeterson- i'm sorry to hear that as well. hope you figure everything out and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! btw, did you already notify your change of decision w/ the school?
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

This is true. I am a student at USF, a transfer student, and was one of the lucky ones to be picked to start clinicals. I was originally admitted to have my clinicals pushed back a year though, but I luckily received a phone call saying there was a spot open. I will be a junior next semester.
I recomend the school, but apply EVERYWHERE!
I need to hear the truth from someone!
A "conditional acceptance" as a freshman (straight out of high school) is not in the "Nursing Program", right? And, now as a sophomore has received a low "C" in pathophys. She says that a "C" is acceptable and she is still in the program. I just can't believe that USF has accepted someone out of high school and will continue to allow her to stay after reading the feed.
I'm ready for the truth, good or bad....someone please!
