This thread is for those who applied for the np program for fall 2017 please inform if you've had an interview and when you submitted your application thank you

I just saw that on NursingCAS about the June 1st deadline. Strange. I think the deadline is still February 15, however. I researched other state colleges, and it appears to be a standard deadline date.

I applied to the AGACNP program...anyone else? I submitted my application in January, and I see that we are now waiting on notification via email if we are chosen for an interview.

Hope to get some good news. I wonder how many applicants there are? I saw one post above that they are possibly going to accept 50%. That does make me nervous. I wonder what the average GPA is?

Just wondering what everyones GPA is. mine is 3.56.... Wonder if i have a chance

I'm not sure how they're doing gpa but ib remember from the open house that went over the programs they say they look mostly at your bachelor's degree. If that's the case idk what it can average to be. They told me within the next two weeks we should hear from them for interviews.

I emailed the NP adviser at USF to see when official decisions about the program will come out, and this is the reply:

"You will hear by email if invited for an interview. Official decisions for admission (including denials) will not go out until April.

If your application is verified” in NursingCAS, and you are invited for an interview, you will be notified no later than early March."

As far as GPA goes, I know that one year (2015?) the average GPA was 3.8 according to one of my colleagues who did not get in.

GPA is only one component. The are also looking at your references, and resume- according to the info session. They are all assigned a point value- everyone that scores a certain point number will be invited to interview. At that point, it's up to you to sell yourself in the interview! So , don't stress too much about the GPA í ½í¸‰

I was emailed today regarding an interview!!!!

Congrats! When did you finish applying?

Also what's your gpa and medical background if you don't mind sharing â˜ºí ½í±

Finished 1/23, verified 2/1. GPA - 3.3- 3.7 depending on entire undergraduate or upper division nursing classes. Been nursing >15 years, variety of specialties and currently critical care. 😀

Wow very impressive! I hope I get an interview then geesh :banghead: my gpa was 3.0 under class men then during the program 3.5. I have a year in med surge and I'll have two years experience in Sept in cardiology ☺

Good luck ! ☺️

I'll definitely need it :scrying: thanks! But keep us updated about the interview questions as it's their first year doing them ;)
