Good day everyone,

I applied for the BSN to DNP program for Fall 18 and I just received an email for an interview. I also applied for the MSN program but still waiting for one of my recommendations to be complete.

Does anyone have any tips for the interview? And do you know how many are usually selected for the BSN to DNP program?

I have an interview next week. Could anyone tell me what to expect? Thanks and good luck to all.

I have an interview next week for the FNP program. Could anyone who has already interviewed tell me what to expect? Thanks!

How are you liking the USF program? Before now, I have never heard of USF, but, this is 1 of 3 schools my employer recommended to apply to. I'd appreciate any feedback.

There might be someone in the group on Fb that may be doing dnp please add yourself

I love it!! It's alot of working I'm doing full-time so sorry if I didn't respond sooner but definitely recommend the school very well structured and taught the instructors are amazing. I started clinicals and have people notice you and say "wow you go to usf" very happy. I'm still working but not full-time more per diem where I can make my own schedule. Next semester will be tough but nothing that I don't think if I set my mind too I can't accomplish

Hi jcort91, I have some questions about the USF fulltime FNP program.. I have heard some bad things about it where I work but only from part time students ( you have to find your own preceptors, teach yourself, unorganized and a few online classes). Please let me know your thoughts.. USF is a great school and I would love to do my FNP there.. just don't like hearing what people say about the program..

Honestly everyone is different! I truly really love it. I love South of Sarasota so my clinical placements have been fine. I haven't had trouble with placement. Please keep in mind especially if you're in Tampa or Orlando that there's so many schools competing with placement. Some private schools are making student pay preceptors so it's even tougher when you're having to compete. But honestly I feel great they truly prepare you for clinical. I feel confident when I'm done with school that I'll have no trouble with finding a job. I went to private school so I know employers can have a stigma against certain students from private institute. But USF school pricing can't really be beaten. If you know any preceptors that you want to go with you notify the clinical organization and for the most part if you contact early before your clinical start they can accommodate you. No one technically has to find their own preceptors but if you don't want to drive an hour then I suggest finding your own. I love that patients when they hear I'm from USF they seem to have more respect for me or relief of anxiety. So take that inconsideration.
