Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.
Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.
Lets start this journey together and good luck to everyone.
I believe the deadlines are the same regardless of the location :) ah what is the interview for?!Yes, definitely get ahead of financial aid. Surprisingly they have been quite quick with processing my paperwork. The deposit is $500 non-refundable and will go towards your first tuition payment. I think the deadline for it is the same as when you have to commit by. For those accepted the first round the due date is Nov 28.
Hi, Macyymace,
I was interviewed over the phone for the program, because on the application I indicated that I would be interested in doing clinicals in a bilingual primary care setting. I haven't heard back from the interview last week so I have no idea how many spots are left, if there's a certain number of spots for bilingual students, or if im waitlisted or what! going kinda crazy.

Oooh!! That's right, I forgot they conduct interviews for bilingual applicants. That is awesome! I hope you hear back this week. I'm sure being bilingual makes you a more competitive applicant :) best of luck!

Thank you so much! I didn't know that they interviewed bilingual applicants. How did you know about that? I was so confused about it, because I hadn't received any notification of being denied or waitlisted so I was confused, because I know they don't usually conduct interviews, and they weigh heavily on our personal statements.

I believe it says on the application that you will get interviewed if you decide to do clinicals as bilingual. I was going to go for bilingual as well but I wasn't too confident in medical terms for my language.
So your app hasn't changed in status at all yet?

Ahh, okay I saw the same thing on the application as well, but for some reason I thought it would be once we were accepted or something, but that makes sense. I speak Spanish at my job currently so im pretty comfortable with it. Nothing has changed on my app. I was even refreshing on thanksgiving hahaha paranoia at it's finest.
Oh wow! I was so confused if I was the only one, or why I was being interviewed. it was so crazy that we had to go through the holiday break without knowing anything! at least everyone else knows where they stand you know? I tried calling this morning but didn't get through. its pretty busy at work today so Ill try again later. but hopefully we hear something.

I got Erin/Ayasha's VM so I called the main line. Woman on the other end advised that we should know by 'this week' via phone call or email. She knew no other information on timing. I also asked her if we had the same deadlines as everyone else, and she replied that we did.
This is all I have been able to think about for the past 3 weeks!! Work? School? forget it! I'm so distracted. -_-

thank you for calling! I couldn't get through twice. im glad you got an idea at least. this is so hard to not think about. I don't think we should have the same deadlines, what if our disbursement will be delayed because of this? this would be my first time with getting loans so im a little scared about getting money on time.... :/
That's peculiar. I also stated my multi-language ability and preferenced to be clinical'd in a non-English speaking location but did not receive an interview, just a call of acceptance on the 13th. Regardless, I'll be paying my deposit by the deadline, tomorrow the 28th. I'm thinking there will be additional openings notifications after this date. Good luck to those still waiting to hear...
