Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.
Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.

I just called USF and they said that decisions will be out by first week of November. She also mentioned that we will receive decisions either by email or by postal mail.
So should we not expect phone calls for acceptances anymore? Because I know in the past they called all admitted students, emailed rejections, and used postal mail for waitlisted students.

That is what I was thinking but she did not mention anything about phone calls.
I applied two cycles ago and I was rejected but I able to see my status change online. It said something like "decision available". I did not get anything in the mail. It was on my portal when I logged in.
Hi Britt do you mind me asking you when did you saw your status change online? Was it around this time or at the beginning of October. Because going base on older threads. People were mentioning they were getting rejected around the beginning of October.
I don't remember exactly when, but it was in October that I saw the change in my status. I wouldn't say if you saw "decision available" it means only declined. Maybe accepted people also saw that as well. Just stating that when I was declined that's the way I was notified. No email just a change in status.

Yikes, well thanks for the update! Guess I get to hound my mailman now lol.
Hi everyone! I just read through the summer 2017 forum and they said they got accepted at around the 8 week mark, which is around now! I'm anxiously waiting for any change in my status..
They said that they call all of the applicants accepted on the same day, then wait list applicants find out through email. Rejections happenned as early as around the 4-6 week mark in that forum!!!

Wow thank you Britt_Washington, EMT-B. That really gives a clear picture of how one doesn't have to get an email in order for the application status to change. I did not know that.
