USF MSN-CNL non-nurse summer 2018

Hey everyone, I thought to start a thread for the current University of San Francisco Summer 2018 application period for the ME-MSN for non-nurse program. I've read the threads from previous application periods and thought it would be nice to start one for this current application period. Feel free to start posting about anything you'd want to talk about or share.

No problem. I think from a new friend from summer 17 cohort, they had orientation a week before so for us it may be May 14th or 15th. I am wrapping up my bachelors degree. This week is Finals week! Still would find a way to make it.

Hello all. Today I received an email from USF. Sadly I was not admitted to the MSN program. Best of luck to all of you! May we continue on our journey to becoming nurses, we'll all get there one way or another!

I have been lurking on here for a while. I am sorry you did not make it in. Next time for sure. Did it come into your email or did you log on to portal first? what does your portal show anything? OMG I am freaking out! Anyone else?

Hi all! I've been a silent follower for a while. I've read through the other forums for the MSN program and surprised to not see as many comments haha. But so sorry to hear the news @karlaa .Definitely keep your head up and keep going!

The status update came through my email. It said there was an update on my admission status, it led me to my portal and I was redirected to a letter. On my portal, my status still says 'submitted' but when I click to review my application there is a section that reads my status update that links to the letter.

From my understanding the status of 'submitted' will not change. If you get accepted you will receive a phone call. If you're waitlisted you'll get a letter in the mail after all acceppted applicants get their call. If you're not admitted you'll get an email.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how many students they'll accept this summer quarter? And how many students are usually on the waitlist? Hopefully we get to hear back soon!

Has anyone heard anything regarding acceptances/when they will be officially posted?

Also, does anyone have any input regarding the clinical hours of this program? I have heard they removed their senior preceptorship.. Isn't that arguably one of them most important parts of the program?
