Hey guys! I wanted to start a threat for those of you applying to USF's MSN-CNL program for this spring! Deadline is Sep 1st, still some time to go! Who is out there that is applying?? :)
@md21887 and @made90 Here is my best guess. In past threads and with talking to past students, none of the admission people actually told them they would get calls. Everyone was told letters/email as well. Even so, people have gotten called every single semester for as far back as I checked (years and years!) I would definitely still expect a call at this point for those accepted. I don't see why all the sudden they would stop doing that, unless they don't feel the need since we are going to find out sooner than past years and therefor have more time to prepare. I am so confused on what to expect but that is where my mind is at right now! What do you guys think?
@afton I'm thinking along the same lines as you. Doesn't make sense for them to change all of a sudden. The only way I see that happening is like you said that we have more time. I also could see them taking the full 10 weeks also because they do not need to rush as much since either way we will find out before the holidays unlike other cohorts
I have no idea. Erin response was like deductive reasoning.. she have you 10 weeks and then place you at second week of October. USF website and info session said 8-10 weeks so she might just be giving you the longest time in that frame.. idk Then she gave you like a general statement of how they send out admission notifications. She might just not be allowed to disclose any specific information who knows. I would think the sooner they notify people the sooner they know who will accept and the ones that won't. Giving them time to send notifications in different rounds. But like you guys are saying this deadline was earlier so technically there's still plenty of time.

Darn no phone calls? was hoping she meant that the mailed letters were released around week 10 but phone calls for accepted individuals could come out sooner. I think that's how other classes were but I could be wrong.
