Hi everyone!! I didn't see a thread here so I'm starting one for the University of San Francisco's (USF) ME-MSN program for non-nurses for the San Francisco campus! The deadline is actually today (1/15/2021) and I was wondering who else applied! Good luck y'all and I hope we all get in together :-))

Hi!
I applied too! From past forums, we roughly get a response on week 10. So looking forward to any updates by the end of March.

I applied! Waiting to hear back!
My stats:
4.0 in pre-reqs (I'm still in Microbio and Physiology, which I probably won't get an A in but am taking them last so hopefully I get in and don't have to worry to hard about excelling in them)
3.3 GPA from undergrad (9 years ago)
I have a CNA license from Red Cross I got last year to ensure this was the right field, I got one of my recommendations from the teacher who led that program. I'm a 33 year old male making a pivot from High Tech. I've gone to Catholic schools my whole life and really jive with the mission of helping minority communities and I want to work at the VA or non-profit hospital in San Francisco - I stressed that in my application.
USFCA is the only school I applied to - if I don't get in I may apply for next semester at CCSF or SF State or start looking outside of California, possibly in Kansas City (UKMC) or Baltimore (JH). Fingers crossed for everybody! And I'm also down to talk over a group zoom and we can all share how we feel because these times are wild and I'd love to start making more nurse student friends!

Does anyone know from past forums if less people tend to apply to the Summer cohort compared to the fall?
Also do you think the schools shows any preference to students who have been previously waitlisted?

Hi! From an info session I went to in-person a while ago at the OC campus, they mentioned that more people tend to apply for fall! I'm not too sure of the ratios and if maybe they have more apps this year bc of covid, but I think Summer usually receives less!
Also hi everyone, hope y'all are doing well! I emailed admissions about 1 week ago to send in an updated transcript, and they said, "a status update will be available sometime in April", so hopefully that means early April LOL
