USF ME-MSN Summer 2020

Didn’t see a post about the USF ME-MSN program for Summer 2020 and thought I’d start one! Feel free to reply about your thoughts, updates on the application/decisions, etc!!

I got this email from general campus staff email when I asked about Summer classes policy for the entire school.

Summer Session
The university has decided to move the first half of the Summer 2020 session to a remote learning format. Courses that are scheduled to begin before June 29 will be held remotely, with no face-to-face meetings. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate a decision regarding the second half of the Summer session by May 1. For students already enrolled in Summer session courses, this is an opportunity to continue learning remotely and stay on track with your degree program. Summer classes will give some structure to your Summer and allow you to stay connected to the USF community. For students who have not yet enrolled in Summer session courses, please watch for additional communications coming soon. Faculty teaching Summer courses will receive information regarding online course design and instruction in the coming weeks.

So I wonder if they would just delay us to a fall start since we would have to be present for clinicals and skills.

Your guess is as good as mine. My opinion (based on nothing) is that they will want to get our money and get us into the program on May 18th. All instruction for Summer will be online and they will attempt to make up the lost in person and clinical hours in the Fall. I can not see them being generous and accommodating enough to do the right thing and cancel all Summer classes and just push everything back to Fall. My 2 cents.

Pretty crazy that they'd want to start us in a month and a half and we haven't even gotten decisions back yet.. I give it another day and I will probably email them.

They literally waitlist everyone ha. It’s a real bummer. I was waitlisted also But I got in elsewhere so I guess it’s OK, though I really wanted to go to usf. Sorry girlfriend:(
