Hello! Anyone out there applied to usf FNP or any ARNP program at usf for fall 18?? What are your stats? GPA, experience, do you have a BSN? When did you apply. Let's all keep in contact! I'm planning on applying within the next week or so.

I created a fb page for all the NP's since most of us have to take the bulk of the classes together. There may be a separate page for the DNP's but I'm not sure. Just search "USF NP's fall 2018 start". If there is already a page started, I apologize!

That is so cool that you got to register for classes already! Did you have to wait until you got your official acceptance letter in the mail to do that? I haven't received mine yet and I have no clue how to register for classes...I don't even have a schedule of classes to know what classes to take.

You should be getting an email with registration info from your advisor. I received registration instructions and course plans for full-time & part-time on Monday. I registered for full-time track.

I am starting the MSN program so if you are DNP you may be getting the email from your advisor with information on registration at a different time.

They did change the registration process this year and it is now done through the schedule planner, where you select coursework, view schedule options, then send it to the shopping cart for web registration.

I was going to make a page but just haven't gotten around to it! I'm glad you made one lol. But I can't find it on Facebook. Nothing is coming up.

Has anyone still not received any communication about acceptance or denial or an interview? I keep calling and emailing and all I get is they haven't made a decision yet. I really need to know so I can plan if I am going to my plan B college or not. :(

Yeah interesting and I am stunned, 8 years ICU nurse, with charge and rapid response, 4.0 BSN at USF none the less... got denied, didn't even get interviewed. Unreal was told my references should write and reflect my goals of my FNP aspirations... makes NO sense and I got a B in a microbiology class I took 10 years ago Not sure if I'd even consider reapplying to USF after this. I have been asked by current np students to write recommendation letters I NEVER stated their own personal goals in the letter.

I got offered an interview recently. don't know what to make of it since its May and reading this thread there's a waitlist..

Did anyone get into the University of South Florida Nurse Practitioner program?

Anyone know if they assign your preceptors for you or if you have to find your own?
