Hello! Anyone out there applied to usf FNP or any ARNP program at usf for fall 18?? What are your stats? GPA, experience, do you have a BSN? When did you apply. Let's all keep in contact! I'm planning on applying within the next week or so.

Which orientation are you guys signed up for? The 6/20 orientation is at capacity, so I am going on 7/11.

How do you like HCA Hospitals and what department are you working in? Any thoughts on their StaRN programs?

I like the HCA hospital I'm at and their staRN program is really good. I work in med/surg. I had to sign a two-year contract with them though that says if I get out ANY time before the end of the two years I have to pay them back money. So it looks like I'm going to lose some money. I was hoping I could maybe transfer to a HCA hospital in Tampa but I think I might still have to pay them even if I was able to do that.

Has anyone received their formal acceptance letter in the mail yet? I submitted my intent to attend as soon as I received my email for recommendation of acceptance with next steps. I think that was around 2 weeks ago and I haven't received anything formal as of yet.

I received an email yesterday saying it would be here within 5-10 business days? I feel like once I have that in hand, it will be so real! Have you guys decided on part time vs. full time? I have the course layout now, but still debating.

Same here, but I received an email saying that I will receive my official acceptance letter in a few business days and to continue working through the steps of original email (Castlebranch, HIPAA training, USF Health immunization forms, etc....). I completed everything a few weeks ago.

Nurselord, how did you get the course layout? Are you in MSN or DNP? Was it part of the email? I am planning on Full-time, but I woild like to know the layout before making the decision.

Also, does anyone know when we should be expecting our official letter of acceptance?

Heyy! I'm already a RN of about 3 years. So no NCLEX for me (thank god ) lol. I just did my RN-BSN there.
