Joysette, I assume you are SBN as well?

Hi Chiro2Nursing,

congrats you guys! :D

I got accepted ! 😁

Hi Chiro2Nursing,

I am excited. It is a very competitive program. I was worried my GPA would not be competitive enough, but I felt pretty good about my interview. I guess the selection committee felt the same.

I know they used to accept more into the program (~150 students), but this year they only accepted 30 SBN & 50 UD. Going forward, they are only admitting 1 class per year for each division.

How is everyone doing with their immunizations? I have to get some started. I do not have them all. Freaking out about this! But I heard as long as you have gotten them started you should be ok. Also starting on my cpr course.

I would hope that not having all vaccinations would not jeopardize you. Don't mind not being able to start my clinicals. I have everything i need to register for classes though.

I have all my immunizations done just from working as a CNA, I do need to get them verified still though to send in, what else do we need to register for classes? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything

They give you time to get all immunizations done before the Pre-Emersion. They will cover everything at 7/15 orientation but if you want a head start:

Need a valid CPR card (CPRbuddy on Saint Pete is great)

TDAP, PPD titer, MMR titers, Hep B (series of 3, plus titer), and I believe Varicella Titer.

You can start clinicals without Hep B, but must have them within 3 months.

Will need a flu shot, but not until this year's vaccine is out (10/16)

Drug Test, fingerprint/background check and Certified Profile must be done before Pre-Emerson in August.

They will cover everything at orientation.
