Yes, if you entered past a certain date, it does not apply. It's in the Orientation Packet.

I also had to contact service desk about the drug testing.

I've been scheduling all my immunizations. By the time school starts I will just be missing my third Hep B. CastleBranch is taking about 3-4 days on all uploaded items due to high volume. Yesterday I did my CPR training, drug test, and fingerprints. I think fingerprints are most important because without that you cannot get your clinical placement. Did my compliance training too, yesterday. I'm actually looking forward to the stuff I can actually handle--rigorous studying. :) Just keep on top of the CastleBranch and I guess they will explain more about it at orientation. Really do wish there was more information about it now... I feel so fortunate that I'm a USF alum and have a head start on a lot of things. In fact, I could even register for classes right now if I wanted to! So glad we don't have to fight anyone for seats. @Lana_K are you 2nd Bachelors or Upper Division?

No, done in December 2017 for accelerated. Summer is usually condensed as it is.

Kaylab796, I interviewed with them too! I thought they were very nice, so you are likely to be on that alternate spot. Good luck and keep reaching for it!

I think you can attach just like a document. I have been able to do that, and then I think it takes them a while to verify. I don't know, the system is way clunky! I'm sure there will be a good hour or so dedicated to the darn thing during orientation.

Hep B Update #2: I spoke with the compliance officer at CON about Hepatitis and said they understand it takes time for the Hep shots from their angle (compliance on CastleBranch). I told him I was getting started right away. Marched to Walgreens and got Hep B & Varicella 1st dose each! The declination waiver is just from SHS perspective, not College of Nursing. Once you are able to upload proof of vaccination/titers on the system, you have to do so. I swear--this is all kinda clunky and I know they will be going over this at Orientation but it's good to get started right away. LUCKILY for me, I already had a health.usf.edu account so I just had to reactivate it and was able to get on CastleBranch Saturday (which caused me to freak out about immunization requirements). I'm feeling better now.

I am trying not to stress! My friend who went through the program said they had told them as long as they were in the process it was ok. But I'm still nervous about it. I am just at a disadvantage because at the ripe old age of 33, we were never mandated to do Hep vaccine. I would hate a stupid shot to be a reason I can't do clinicals/stay in the program.

Thursday Girl, try not to be discouraged. Now you have all the ammunition to improve next time. From what I've heard, they rarely change up those questions. I think it was extremely competitive this go-around.

Yes, I saw in previous documentation that 2 is enough, so hopefully they have not changed that requirement. Obviously now there are several of us who do not have the full series yet, so that makes me feel better. The Hepatitis B is options University-wide but not for Nursing (due to clinicals). You can't just decline it. Again, as far as I know, we should be good with the 2 shots and getting the third + titer later. I almost can't remember if I may have had the series along the line somewhere. I'm thinking of doing a Varicella/Hep Titer/MMR combination. I figure the price of getting it done is cheaper than getting the Varicella vaccine (I have no varicella vaccine but I've had the chickenpox). And then that way if I have HepB immunity I don't have to go through the series. Guys, this is driving me batty! I just don't want anything to get in my way of school. I really wish I had dealt with this months ago rather than freak about it now. Hey Lana_K I sent you a PM about your group. I don't know if you didn't get it but feel free to add me to the group. Where did you hear about the being able to start without the full Hepatitis B series? If I get started on that ASAP I will be OK but if they need you to have this prior to entering, I am out of compliance.

Awesome! That is great that we will take classes together!

Of course they would give us time to do immunizations, I just don't want anything to jeopardize my program! I have to get Hep B and also the titers. Signed up for my CPR class.

How is everyone doing with their immunizations? I have to get some started. I do not have them all. Freaking out about this! But I heard as long as you have gotten them started you should be ok. Also starting on my cpr course. I would hope that not having all vaccinations would not jeopardize you. Don't mind not being able to start my clinicals. I have everything i need to register for classes though.
