USF applicants 2013

Published

Anyone applying to USF's (University of South Florida) nursing program?. I feel discouraged because I heard how competitive and rigorous it is.I have a 3.7 GPA. finished about half of my pre-reqs, got A's in all of my science courses. A B in statistics, ethics, and humanities:sarcastic:. I'm currently an ambassador at a community college and volunteering at a hospital. If those aren't good enough to get in the program I don't know what will lol. Is anyone here a USF nursing student? I would love to hear your experiences. I hope I can at least get into USF or my community college. If those fail..then it's off to Rasmussen or technical for me!!

Okay great. Thanks @twentyonepilots! I've been checking my USF e-mail like crazy but I guess now I'll have to check SOAR as well!

@cookie.cruz, your PM's are full so it won't let me reply to your message

@ecari me too. keep your fingers crossed :) mine have been crossed since last month lol

Yeah I definitely hope we all get good news, and sooner rather than later :)

Oh hold on @TwentyOnePilots lol

I live with my husband and our daughter up here in Trinity since he also is a full time student at a satellite campus close to our house. I will just make the commute to usf if I get in.

I will most likely just make commute as well. I live in Hernando area with my parents and I work with quite a few people that commute to USF as well. It's not too bad of a ride over there.

since we are both north of tampa maybe we will get placed in the same clinical group! I would be up for car pooling if you ever wanted (I'm not going to say "if" we get in because I am bein optimistic)

yeah I would be up for carpooling! most students I've talked to who are or were in the program said that carpooling was pretty common. yeah i'm staying optimistic too. no "ifs" allowed here :) lol

Good luck to everyone! I hope you receive notifications soon!

Thanks @mely29!

At the SIBN meeting with the professors from the College of Nursing they did say they try to get us an answer in about 2 weeks so that would make Friday a strong possibility!
